Percy Beauchamp, also known as Perseverance Wainwright, is one of the most complex characters in Outlander.

Percy was born as Perseverance Wainwright, the son of a Methodist minister. His father’s tragic death in a mail coach accident left him and his mother struggling in poverty. A troubled youth for Percy

When the General later married Benedicta Grey, Percy became a stepbrother to Lord John Grey.

In 1776, Percy met Lord John Grey again in Wilmington. He proposed a political deal to the Britishers.
However, his mention of Jamie and William Fraser increased Lord John’s doubts.
The following year, Percy met Claire Fraser and revealed surprising details about Fergus’ lineage. His role, both as a manipulator and a truth-teller added depth to the story.
