Netflix's latest Polish thriller series, Just One Look, premiered on March 5, 2025.
The series follows the story of a woman who comes across a photograph of her husband with strange people. Soon after, her husband disappears, and she must solve the mystery behind his disappearance, which is somehow related to her past.
Just One Look is based on Harlan Coben's 2004 mystery novel of the same name. Coben's many previous works have also been adapted for Netflix.
The cast for the Polish thriller includes Maria Debska as Greta and Cezary Lukaszewicz as Jacek. Other actors include Piotr Stramowski and Miroslaw Zbrojewicz.

Exploring the source material of Netflix's Just One Look
Harlan Coben is a celebrated mystery writer who began his writing career in 1990. He is famously known for his mystery books, which are usually centered around the protagonists solving an unresolved mystery from their past, which hampers their present.
His books are often described as filled with shocking twists and gripping suspense that will keep readers on the edge of their seats until the finale.
Netflix's latest Polish adaptation is based on Coben's 2004 novel of the same name. While it is his sixth standalone novel, it does contain some allusions to his most popular series, Myron Bolitar.
Twelve of his novellas have been adapted for television to date. In 2018, he also entered into a multi-dollar deal with Netflix, under which many of his novellas were adapted into Netflix originals, including Safe, The Innocent, Missing You, and Fool Me Once.
Just One Look is also the first TV screenplay co-written by Charlotte Coben, Harlan Coben's daughter.
What is the plot of Just One Look?
The official logline of the series reads as follows:
''Grace's life unravels when an old photo shows her husband and others, one with a crossed-out face. Grace searches for him, realizing he's been kidnapped while her kids are threatened. The truth leads back to Grace's past trauma.''
Just One Look follows the story of Greta, a jewelry designer and mother of two who leads a happy life with her husband, Jacek. One day, her seemingly perfect life comes crashing down when she comes across an eerie photo of her husband with a group of strangers. What is more strange about it is that one of the people standing in it has a cross marked over it.
While Greta confronts Jacek about the strange photo, he has no recollection of the event or the people in it, and days after this confrontation, he disappears.
The show follows Greta's journey to find her missing husband, with just that photo as evidence. In the process, she also learns that the mystery is somehow connected to the arson attack from her past, which disturbed her.
In this unraveling madness, she must find answers and solve the mystery of her past to find her husband in the present and keep her children safe.
