Joshua Heuston, who plays the role of Constantine Corrino in Dune: Prophecy, is an Australian actor born in 1996. Born and raised in Sydney, Heuston is of Anglo-Sri Lankan descent.

He initially started his career as a model before becoming an actor. While Dune: Prophecy is perhaps his biggest project till now, he has previously starred in projects like Dive Club, Thor: Love and Thunder, Heartbreak High, etc.

His role in Dune: Prophecy got him legitimately excited, as he told in an interview with ELLE,

“I was so excited! A role like this is rare. With so much lore and an established community, it’s an honour to be part of something so revered.”

He further added,

“I was in bed and ran outside to take the call. There’s actually a video of my reaction—I think my manager filmed me. I was yelling, just so excited.”

While his role as Constantine Corrino has made him an internet sensation overnight, let us look at the other projects this Aussie actor has been a part of.

What roles did Joshua Heuston play before starring in Dune: Prophecy?

In his interview with ELLE, Heuston recalled how his acting career started rather randomly since he did not plan to become an actor. He was initially booked for a small role in a music video, and once he did that, he realized he really liked the craft.

That compelled him to join acting classes, and he juggled his university schedule with his acting course. Heuston mentioned,

“I’d go to uni, then head to acting school after. It was a crazy schedule, but it was all I focused on for a while.”

He made his acting debut with Dive Club, a Network 10 thriller that was first aired in Australia and then had an international release with Netflix. In the series, Heuston shared screen space with Georgia-May Davis and Miah Maddern.

The series is set in Cape Mercy, a fictional coastal town, and follows a bunch of ocean divers who are school girls. Heuston plays the role of Henry, a town resident who has a heart of gold.

Heuston also had a small role in Thor: Love and Thunder, which did not require him to speak. He also stars as Dusty in Heartbreak High, a Netflix reboot of the 1990s series of the same name.

Some of Heuston’s other projects include Finally Me, More Than This, Bali 2002, etc.

What is Joshua Heuston’s role in Dune: Prophecy?

In Dune: Prophecy, Heuston plays the role of Constantine Corrino, the illegitimate son of the Emperor. As the show portrays him, he is seen to be a man who is still trying to find his prose.

Despite being someone who is fragile and caught between his destiny and the yearning for something more, Constantine’s main goal is shown to be protecting Ynez (Sarah-Sofie Boussnina), his sister, who loves him unconditionally.

Talking about his role and the fact this gave him a chance to share screen space with some of the Hollywood’s best, Heuston said,

“When you first book the role, you’re a little intimidated, especially with actors who have so much experience.”

He further added,

But once you’re on set and action is called, all that goes away. The moment the cameras start rolling, it’s like you’re back in drama class, just focused on the scene.

He also mentioned how he particularly loved his scenes with Tabu in Dune: Prophecy Episode 5, as it is in that episode where everything comes to a head for Constantine. Heuston also confirmed that his character will have some action sequences too, which gives his fans all the more reasons to rejoice.

Dune: Prophecy episodes 1-3 can be streamed on Max, with new episodes dropping weekly on Sundays.
