The sci-fi horror Stranger Things is set in the 1980s. The plot follows a set of strange and paranormal activities in the town of Hawkins, Indiana when a portal to another realm called the Upside Down is unintentionally opened in the human experimentation lab near Hawkins. This causes several attacks, deaths, and disappearances of the townspeople.
Stranger Things is available on Netflix worldwide. The first season arrived on the platform on 15 July 2016. A second and third season arrived on the platform in October 2017 and July 2019, respectively. The fourth season was released in two volumes, the first of which aired on the platform in May 2022 and the second in July of the same year. The fifth and final season has been much awaited since the release of the fourth one, and it is speculated to be released in 2025. The show was produced by Monkey Massacre Productions and 21 Laps Entertainment.

Later in season 4, it is confirmed that Eleven while battling Vecna, the main villain of the story, opened or certainly created this realm of Upside Down using her psychic abilities to try to stop Vecna. Unfortunately, it only started the state of the things that began haunting the town of Hawkins.
