What If...? Season 3 release schedule: Every episode and when do they drop

MCU's fourth television series, What If...?, ends after the final run with Season 3. Fans loved the first two seasons of this anthology series, which was also the first animated series for MCU.

It follows different characters from Marvel Comics across many adventures in the multiverse and explores the possibility of what would happen if a certain event occurred differently within the MCU.

While the makers of the show had endless possibilities with the episodes for this show, they have decided to end it with Season 3, but fans seemed to enjoy MCU's take on alternate timelines and realities.

While A. C. Bradley was the head writer for the show's first two seasons, Matthew Chauncey has stepped in as the lead writer for Season 3.

Marvel recently announced the episode names for Season 3's episodes, and fans have been speculating about what other timelines will be featured in the show's final installment.

What is the release schedule of MCU's What If...? Season 3?

For fans awaiting the return of this fan-favorite animated series, What If...? Season 3 episodes will be available to stream on Disney+ from December 22, 2024, at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT.

While many episode titles are quite self-explanatory from their names, one should never expect the obvious when it comes from Marvel.

Director Bryan Andrews talks about the Season 3 and what should fans expect from the final season in an interview with Marvel,

“There’s no way people can guess what’s coming. We do get to push genre a little bit. I’m super excited about some of the ones that are coming up. There are a few that are just fantastic. I think everyone’s going to nerd out because we get to push. And one of them’s going to sell a lot of toys.''

He added,

“There’s one that revisits characters from a Season 1 episode, but I won’t say which. But there is one that there’s some continuation a little bit. And that one’s turning out to be quite hilarious and we do love it.”

What can you expect from What If...? Season 3?

After a trailer for the show's Season 3 was unveiled at D23 Brazil, many characters and storylines can be expected in this final installment.

The show's format will allow the makers to explore many characters returning to different situations across the Multiverse for many new adventures.

To fan's delight, many voice actors from the past seasons will come back for What If...? Season 3, including Chris Hemsworth, Hayley Atwell, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mick Wingert, Josh Keaton, and Lake Bell.

In addition, actor Jeffrey Wright, who voiced the Watcher in Season 1, will also return for Season 3 after the Episode 7 title was revealed to be focusing on his character.
