What happens to Agent Steven Eliot in Reacher Season 3 Episode 5? Character's fate, revealed

Reacher Season 3 introduces several new characters as Jack Reacher endeavors to take down the criminal enterprise of Zachary Beck. One of them is Agent Steven Eliot, played by actor Daniel David Stewart.

Eliot is introduced at the beginning of the third season as a rookie agent in the DEA, who works with skilled people like Susan Duffy and Guillermo Villanueva. As the DEA teams up with Jack to investigate Zachary and former military colonel Xavier Quinn, Eliot plays a key role in the narrative.

However, he makes some mistakes due to his inexperience in dealing with dangerous criminals. This costs him his life as Eliot is killed in Reacher Season 3 episode 5 by Francis Xavier Quinn’s bodyguard.

Eliot is a young DEA agent who has not spent much time in the agency in Reacher Season 3. While he is eager to prove himself, his lack of experience makes him vulnerable. Unlike his colleagues Susan Duffy and Guillermo Villanueva, Eliot sometimes struggles under pressure.

Throughout the season, Reacher and his team are investigating Zachary Beck’s suspicious rug business, Bizarre Bazaar, which is a front for illegal arms deals. Their mission becomes even more critical when they discover that Beck is connected to Julius McCabe, formerly known as Frances Xavier Quinn, an old enemy of Reacher’s.

In Reacher Season 3 episode 5, the team is able to catch one of Quinn’s bodyguards and take him hostage at a lodge. Eliot is then given the task of watching over the bodyguard, while the rest of the team takes care of the mission.

However, the guard is a manipulative and cunning man, who makes Eliot’s job difficult. As the hours pass, he constantly tests Eliot’s patience, pushing him to his limits with taunts and demands. Eventually, he convinces Eliot to let him have a cigarette, claiming it will calm him down.

This turns out to be a fatal mistake. As Eliot lights the cigarette, the guard suddenly spits hydrogen peroxide at him. The chemical burns Eliot’s eyes, leaving him momentarily blinded and disoriented. Seizing the opportunity, the guard overpowers the agent. Before Eliot can recover, the guard beats him and leaves him to die.

He then flees from the lodge. Susan Duffy arrives at the scene to find the rookie agent dead. She is heartbroken to see Eliot’s body and cries. Meanwhile, Jack Reacher ensures that the guard does not go far and kills him after staging an accident.

Eliot’s death in Reacher Season 3 episode 5 raises the stakes for the rest of the DEA team and Jack. With ruthless enemies targeting them, the team is running out of time to hunt down Xavier Quinn.

The series stars Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher along with Brian Tee as Francis Xavier Quinn, Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck, Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy, Roberto Montesinos as Guillermo Villanueva, and Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck.
