School Spirits Season 2 episodes 1-3 dropped on January 30, 2025, on Paramount+. The teen supernatural drama is back after almost two years, and there are multiple storylines that this season is supposed to address.
As said by Peyton List, School Spirits Season 2 will not only answer questions from Season 1 but also raise more questions, which the fans are very likely to get invested in.
In season 1, it was shown that Wally (Milo Manheim) passed away on the football field. As season 2 is premiering, this is a good time to revisit Wally’s (Milo Manheim) death and how and when it happened.

When did Wally die in School Spirits?
Born in the mid-1950s, Wally tragically lost his life in 1983. During the fall of 1983, while playing in the homecoming football game, Wally met his end. He heard the sound of his neck snapping, and that was it for him. He never could return to the field as a living human being.
The most tragic part about his death was that Wally was really never into playing football, and he only did it because his mother liked it. Doing something for someone else and then dying while doing it is some other kind of trauma, and that is why even after death, Wally keeps thinking about the same.
Since his death happened during the homecoming, it remains an important event for the character in question, and that was conveyed to the audience as well. However, the only solace for him was that he knew that he was the Homecoming King in his senior year before he passed away.
What will happen to Wally in School Spirits Season 2?
Since Milo Manheim is confirmed to return in School Spirits Season 2, it would be interesting to see how things play out for him. Peyton List has already mentioned to PEOPLE that the relations between her character Maddie and Milo will be explored more in detail in this season, saying,
“People that are a fan of that relationship will be really happy because there's a lot of moments between them [in season 2]. Maddie's finally able to accept the circumstances, and she's able to pay attention to this boy that's in front of her that she was ignoring for the first season. She's finally letting him in.”
Maddie and Willy’s chemistry has been well received by the audience and List added,
“Milo just brings so much joy and fun and silliness to the set. He lightens everything up, and it's really fun to do scenes with him. He's always adding something in and improving something that will get a real reaction in the scenes.”
Since the first three episodes of School Spirits Season 2 have already aired, it would be interesting to see how the relationship between Maddie and Willy develops, since the lingering question now is: how does a relationship work when the girlfriend comes back to life, but the boyfriend remains dead?
This would be an interesting equation, and until now, no serious discussion has happened on this topic, though Willy seems to be thinking about it. Since one of the season's main questions is how Maddie will be getting back into her body, the couple will finally have to consider how they would be together if that happens.
School Spirits Season 1 and episodes 1-3 of Season 2 can be streamed on Paramount+. New episodes drop weekly on Fridays.
