The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 Finale: What happened between J.R. and Zaina?

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 Finale was released on December 18, 2024. It revealed how two couples, including J.R. - Zaina and Nick-Sandy, didn't advance with their engagement.

The finale started with J.R. stating how he entered the experiment with an engagement ring. He mentioned having "clarity" after two trial marriages on the show.

"Looking at this engagement ring, it means committing to one person for the rest of my life," confessed J.R.

While en route to seeing Zaina, he reflected on his trial marriages. He referred to his trial marriage with Sandy as "great." He would see her and, later, his original partner, Zaina.

He and Sandy sat down for their conversation. They discussed getting what they were looking for and how those two months have been the "wild" time for them.

J.R. mentioned loving Sandy's quality, where she sees good in everyone.

"Everything happens for a reason, and everything happens the way that it's supposed to. We took a big risk. We didn't play it safe. We both really gave it our all," shared Sandy.

She mentioned how they have developed a "really close connection." However, they were not "leaving together" from there. Sandy also shared that she will always be rooting for J.R.

On the other hand, Zaina mentioned waking up with a "lot of emotions." She confessed to being "more" in love with J.R. since they started their relationship.

Soon, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On stars Zaina and J.R. met and discussed the "ultimatum." The female cast member shared that they made a "lot of progress."

"I'm thankful for the three weeks we had. Yes, we argued, we fought, we had fun, we had good times. Just three weeks of, to me, almost bliss," shared J.R.

He told Zaina she had a "pure heart" and "good energy." Since joining the experiment, the couple has been able to share things.

Zaina mentioned feeling closer than ever to J.R., while the male cast member shared that he received "so much love and care" from her. Despite seeing how Aria would make a "fantastic" wife and mother, J.R. told her that:

"I just...I don't think I'm at that point to give you what you deserve."

After learning that, the female cast member shared her concerns about how J.R. had a vision of what a "perfect husband" was in a "perfect marriage" with the "perfect setup."

In his defense, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 star J.R. mentioned that he was not waiting to be "perfect" but to feel comfortable "stepping into that role."

J.R. confessed that he didn't feel that in that particular moment. He then revealed that his right decision was to leave the show single.
