"Scotty wants to get engaged to Aria, his girlfriend of three years. "At the end of this experience, I hope my partner will choose me in the way that I have chosen her," he says in the trailer. But Aria feels that the professional sacrifices — among others — she’d have to make in order to take that step may be too much at the present moment."
As featured on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 Finale, Aria and Scotty were one of the two couples who got engaged. Here is everything that happened during the show's finale between the two.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 Finale: What happened between Aria and Scotty?
On Ultimatum Day, Scotty confessed to having "no idea" what Aria's answer would be. He mentioned waking up with a "lot of hesitation and anxiety." On the other hand, Aria shared:
"I just didn't feel like Scotty could see from my point of view ever. It's kind of like these constant fights that are always happening. And I'm feeling very anxious and I have a decision to make, and I just have to stay true to myself."
While on his way to see Aria, Scotty mentioned that the experience had been "eye-opening" for him. He also mentioned learning to "grow" from Zaina. He also confessed that he had become a "better active listener."
Aria mentioned that her connection with Scotty became even deeper emotionally. She also reflected on some of the qualities that her trial marriage partner Caleb had. She mentioned wanting to have some of "those things" and qualities in her partner, Scotty.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 couple then arrived at the venue and met each other. They expressed feeling "a lot" and being "nervous." Scotty told Aria that he issued the ultimatum "out of fear" and for the wrong reasons.
"I'm sorry if I didn't give you the reassurance in our relationship that I know you needed. I'm sorry if I didn't love you the way you wanted to be loved. But I hope that I made you feel seen in our trial marriage," shared Scotty.
The female cast member told Scotty not always to feel like he is "compromising." She said that she compromised to be there and that she was there because she loved him. She also told Scotty she should have given him "more trust" and apologized.
In The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 finale, cast member Aria shared that she could see where she was "flawed." She got emotional when Scotty told her he didn't doubt her anymore.
As both of them got emotional, Scotty mentioned feeling like entering into "a new season" in their relationship.
"In that season, I want to be your protector, your peace. I want to be the man that you run to and not away from. And, above all else, I just want you to know that I choose you right now, today, and for all of my tomorrows," proposed Scotty.
He then got the ring out of his pocket and got on one knee to propose. As he popped the big question, Aria took a second, and after confessing her love for him, she said yes. The couple then celebrated their engagement and toasted.
Netflix now exclusively streams The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3.
