Forrester, the head of the Fly Team unit, said goodbye in the season 3 finale of FBI: International. Luke Kleintank has led the Fly Team unit since the beginning of season 1. In April 2024, he announced that he would leave the show after three seasons.
The third show in Dick Wolf's FBI series is the latest addition to the FBI family. It follows the elite FBI agents in Budapest, ensuring that its citizens are protected from the island of crime and terrorism.
FBI: International boasts a large and talented cast, including Carter Redwood as Special Agent Andre Raines, Vinessa Vidotto as an interrogation expert, and Christina Wolfe as Special Agent Amanda Tate, although she will be added in season 3.
How does Scott Forrester’s storyline end in FBI: International?
FBI: International is the third spin-off of the popular CBS FBI series. Luke Kleintank's Agent, Scott Forrester, played a major role as one of the main cast members in FBI: International. As the leader of the team, Forrester oversaw several international crimes involving US citizens.
Luke Kleintank was last seen in season 3 of FBI: International, episode 11, which aired on 7 May 2024. We did not know what happened to Forrester until the season 3 finale, but what we saw was what we wanted to see.
In the final episode, it was revealed that Forrester had disappeared. It was later revealed that a message from his mother, hiding as a double agent, had told him where she was and how to find her.
The season 3 finale indicated that Forrester had found his mother and had both disappeared in Alaska. Eventually, the team found out where they were, and the NSA, through Brian Lange, had the file containing their location destroyed so that Forrester and his mother wouldn't be found. Having seen that, it can be confirmed that Forrester will not be back on the screens for a while now.

Luke Kleintak’s real reason behind leaving FBI: International
Luke Kleintank left FBI: International to focus on his family, which explains why his character, Forrester, was written out of the show. The writers had little time, so they had to rationalize his absence from the screen. Which is why the creators decided to give him an off-screen departure.
During an interview, Luke Kleintank told Deadline:
“After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave FBI: International,” he added “ This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are paramount in my life. I’m profoundly thankful for the extraordinary cast and crew of the show, who have not only been colleagues but also a family away from home.”

What to expect in season 4 of FBI: International?
The latest news on the cast of FBI International is exciting but a little sad as it follows the sad departure of Scott Forrester. Scott Forrester was played by Luke Kleintank, who left at the end of season 3. As per the update, Luke will be replaced by Jesse Lee Soffer, who will take over the role of Wes Mitchell. This is just one of the many character announcements that make season 4 so exciting.
Tank hardly ever appears with the owner, Scott. Although Scott is no longer part of the show, Tank’s ownership remains a question. The new season will probably show Tank's new leadership. It will be interesting to see if one of the returning members looks after Tank or if it falls to Scott Forrester's replacement, Wes.
Previous seasons of FBI: International are currently available for fans to stream on CBS.
