Salusa Secundus looks different in the series because the time it is set in is long before Salusa Secundus was devasted. Originally Salusa Secundus was known to be a beautiful planet that was the home to House of Corrino.

Since the series is set 10,000 years before the events of the film and prior to the birth of Paul Atreides, the planet is yet to be destroyed by nuclear explosives which is why it looks different in Dune: Prophecy.
