What happened to Roarke on Yellowstone? Character's fate explored in depth

Yellowstone has witnessed the demise of a brutal yet main character - Josh Holloway as Roarke Morris. Roarke was introduced in the third season as a confident and cool land developer for Market Equities and made himself an enemy to the Dutton family. He did not last long on the show as his character ended by creating a startling and unforgettable demise that captured the ruthlessness in which the Duttons operate.

Roarke Morris walked right into Yellowstone as an almost complete antagonist, an added corporate menace to its spicy storyline. He was a land acquirer for the Dutton family in the Market Equities facility incursion. Roarke's strategies will lead to tensions between him and John Dutton, and, by extension, the rest of the clan.

His great expectation will be fused with that aura of arrogance and determination in trying to make it happen as an appealing yet threatening character. Since this year, Roarke has been orchestrating ways to destabilize the Duttons, including getting himself into trouble with Wade Morrow for some more heat. After all, with all that he had going for him, the smooth surface didn't make him quite ready for what the Duttons would do, Rip included, to protect their legacy.

It was in the Season 4 premiere that Roarke's fate was sealed, and his death stands out among the many surprising deaths in the series. He was confronted by Rip Wheeler with his usual unorthodox and savage methods. Rip released a poisonous snake from the cooler, which bit Roarke in the face.

Roarke fought off the snake venom for a while but in a gruesome scene, foamed at the mouth and succumbed to it as Rip moved away, remarking, "Good riddance." This most dramatic exit signified the uncompromising nature of the Duttons when faced with threats they cannot tolerate.

Josh Holloway's portrayal of Roarke was brief but powerful - he appeared in only nine episodes, but the venomous snake bite was added to the other creative, brutal deaths met by enemies in the world of Yellowstone, naturally making Roarke's death one of the show's most memorable scenes.

Roarke Morris dies in Yellowstone, a sobering reminder of the grim landscape it possesses, in which power struggles tend to be settled with bloodshed. The dramatic demise of his arc encapsulates in Rip Wheeler the no-nonsense dealing and the unyielding hold of Duttons on their land and legacy. Though his stint was not very long, Roarke still stands a testament to the going against the Duttons.
