Tensions escalate as Park Na-rae and Kkwachu turn into zombies, but they try hard not to until the end. The contestants cannot escape the wheel for quite some time, as they fear Park Na-rae and Kkwachu as well as the zombies surrounding them.

In a chaotic moment, Na-rae targeted Ro Hong Chul in his cabin on the Ferris wheel, and it looked like he didn't make it out alive. The finale of Zombieverse season 1 was filled with chaos and unexpected twists like Ro Hong Chul's transformation into a flesh eater and only a few contestants making it out alive after giving it all to escape the zombie apocalypse set in Seoul.

The first contestant who couldn't even make it to the second episode was Yoo Hee-kwan, featuring how dangerous it is to survive while zombies are all around you. The competition tested the physical and mental limits of the participants as they doubted almost everyone throughout the eight episodes.

The key moments in the finale begin right after the surviving contestants take refuge inside the Ferris wheel cabins. Since nobody could be trusted and Park Na-rae and Kkwachu were already tuning into zombies, they started using walkie-talkies to betray each other.

Zombieverse Season 1 ends with the epilogue featuring the newly transformed Hong-Chul with whom viewers will catch up in season 2.
