Also nicknamed 'Juice' his life took a 360-degree turn when he was charged with murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman outside her LA home.
O.J. Simpson married his ex-wife Nicole in 1985 and even had two children Sydney and Justin. However, the couple separated in 1992. On June 17, 1994, the prosecutors ordered Simpson to surrender but he fled in a white Ford Bronco with his friend AI Cowlings. This chase was no less than a Tom Cruise movie with helicopters hovering and cars blocking the Southern Californian freeways.
In 1995, his trial started, however, he was acquitted of all criminal charges in October 1995. In 1997 a jury found Simpson to be liable for the double murders and ordered him to pay $33.5 million as damages to the victims' families.
