Netflix's Love Never Lies: South Africa features couples who entered a social experiment to find the ultimate question: whether Love lies. With six couples featuring initially, Netflix aired the show on December 6, 2024.
One of the couples featured on the social experiment was Clayton, 25, and Wilfred, 22, joined the social experiment to:
"Learn to trust each other after infidelity."
Netflix describes the Love Never Lies: South Africa's finale episode as:
"With the final ceremony fast approaching, the couples reunite for one last test of trust. Who will take home the growing grand prize?"

Love Never Lies: South Africa's finale episode focused on each of the couples individually and their separate interactions with the show host, Minnie. She welcomed Wilfred first, who could be seen stating in a video clip that was played:
"There was cheating involved in our relationship, so does he want me? And does he want a future with me?
The clip also featured Wilfred confessing to his partner, Clayton, that he should have left him while he cheated. On the other hand, Clayton could be seen stating in the video that if he and Wilfred could not fix the issue between themselves, they would have to "maybe call it quits."
The next clip featured during the finale was of Clayton, who started by:
"I cheated on Wilfred."
He also mentioned his potential connection with Simo, which Wilfred was unhappy about. Love Never Lies: South Africa star Clayton revealed that the "biggest thing" he learned on the show is that he "really" loves Wilfred.
"And it's time for me to step up and love him the way he wants to be loved."
Soon, the host asked the final question to both the cast members.
Wilfred faced the question: if he was ready to "accept" Clayton and his "flirtatious nature." His answer was "yes," which was true. As a result, a 30k addition to the prize pot was mentioned.
Clayton confessed that he did not need to flirt with anyone else because he had learned that he loved Wilfred. He also revealed he was "ready" to let down his guard. After learning about Clayton's side and his thoughts, Wilfred responded. He mentioned being "ready" and willing to meet his partner "halfway."
In his private confessional, Wilfred opened up and shared that he was willing to "work on things." With a correct answer from Wilfred, 30,000 Rands were added to the prize pot.
Clayton was asked if he was "ready" to "settle down" with his partner, Wilfred. His answer, "yes", was also true. Witnessing his partner ready to settle with him, Love Never Lies: South Africa star Wilfred was happy and hugged him.
"I wanna settle down with you. Like if you wanna move in, let's move in," shared Clayton.
Playfully, when Wilfred mimicked wanting a ring and showed his hand pointing towards the ring finger, Clayton played along and playfully placed a made-up ring in the air, which Minnie referred to as "That was quick." They all burst into laughter and happiness after seeing Love Never Lies: South Africa stars Wilfred and Clayton together.
In the latter part of the show, the couple, Wilfred and Clayton, shared in their joint confessional that it felt like "home." They added that it was how that was supposed to feel. Additionally, Clayton's truth earned the cast members an additional 30,000 Rands.
The finale episode ended with Minnie revealing that Wilfred and Clayton lied "the least" number of times compared to the other cast members. The couple that lied once, Munaka and Gontse, were crowned the winners of the social experiment.
