Netflix's social experiment, Love is Blind: Argentina, aired on November 6, 2024, with four brand-new episodes. The latest franchise show features 32 singles participating in an experiment to find their "perfect match."
Among the singles, the show features Agustina Pontoriero, 29, and Santiago Martinez, 29. Initially, Santiago felt his connection with Agustina as she put him "at ease" during their first blind date.
However, later, he had a dream about "Emily," and then he found a participant, Emily Ceco, 24—things changed for him. Despite Agustina's interest in exploring her connection with him, he was leaning towards Emily.
After learning about his and Emily's connection and how she had become Santiago's "first choice," Agustina conversed with Emily. In the women's lounge, she also referred to the male cast member as an a****** for sharing his dream about Emily. According to Agustina, he should have shared his dream later in the experiment.
The official synopsis for the Love is Blind: Argentina Episode 2 reads,
"Ready, set date! As the pods open, some singles check off family values, while others hope they can find a fellow fan of the same soccer team."
Love is Blind: Argentina - What happened between Santiago and Agustina?
On the first day of blind dates on Love is Blind: Argentina, Agustina had her first blind date with Santiago. She mentioned that she followed a checklist. During her first date with him, the female cast member shared that she had been single "her whole life." This was because, as she shared, her previous connections were only physical.
On the second day, Agustina learned about Santiago's dream about fellow participant Emily. She was unhappy about it, and despite his dream about Emily, Agustina was interested in him.
The male cast member also wanted to explore his connection with Agustina. He told her that, according to some male cast members, Agustina was "his type."
Later that day, on Love is Blind: Argentina, Agustina shared her conversation with Emily, who was then ready to confront Santiago.
On the third day, when Emily confronted him about Agustina and herself being at the top of his list, Santiago mentioned that despite Agustina being at the top, after meeting Emily and seeing that dream, "everything changed" for him.
Santiago had another date with Agustina later that day. He confessed that seeing Agustina's behavior reminded him of his ex and how she also felt like a similar person.
She mentioned sharing his dream about Emily wasn't "very smart."
"If you hadn't brought up your dream, and hadn't gotten married during your first ten-minute-date, we'd be having a different conversation. You know what I mean? But you sort of eliminated other options." shared Agustina.
Love is Blind: Argentina female cast member also mentioned that, despite wanting to explore her connection with Santiago because she was Emily's friend, Agustina wasn't comfortable exploring her connection with him.
While Santiago wanted to share something, Agustina stopped her from sharing anything. After she refused to let him talk, the male cast member confessed how he could not stand the wall between them and that Agustina was going "on and on."
"I'm starting to feel really embarrassed for no reason. It feels like I've wasted my time with an idiot who makes choices based on a dream. I thought you were smart, but you're kind of a dumbass," shared Agustina.
Later on, Agustina could be seen apologizing to Santiago, but he didn't like the way she talked to him and insulted him.
After the not-so-pleasant conversation between Santiago and Agustina, they parted ways and left their pods. They agreed not to want any more blind dates with each other during the social experiment.
Love is Blind: Argentina further featured how Santiago found his potential connection with Emily and decided to explore it with her.
Fans can stream the first four episodes of Love is Blind: Argentina on Netflix and explore which participants ended up with whom and got engaged.
