Netflix recently dropped Love is Blind: Argentina Season 1's first four episodes on its platform. The debut season premiered by introducing 32 singles looking for their potential match on the social experiment.
Among the singles were Matías Moreno, 36, and Brenda Oviedo, 34. The show's third episode introduced a single mother meeting Matías via their first blind date. As the show progressed, the couple got to know each other better and grew closer.
The social experiment's prime goal is to help contestants find their most suitable romantic connection, and the duo found each other to be their potential match. However, Matías had a different mindset about how to pursue their connection after their first reveal on Love is Blind: Argentina.
Love is Blind: Argentina - Matías and Brenda's story throughout the first phase: Explored
Love is Blind: Argentina Season 1 Episode 3 introduced Brenda, who was ready and wanted "it all. For that, she was ready to give "everything she had got."
"I'm a single mom. I have two kids, a nine-year-old and a twelve-year-old. They're my life, everything."
As Brenda revealed in her introduction, she didn't marry the father of her children. Some affairs ended the relationship. However, as she mentioned, her ex was a father figure to her children, who passed away, and since then, the Love is Blind: Argentina star has been living alone with her children.
The third episode of Love is Blind: Argentina featured the first blind date between Brenda and Matías. As they talked, they learned about each other's whereabouts. While she was from Ituzaingo, he was from Cordoba.
She shared her love for cooking homemade food items, which Matías found exciting.
"That's a wrap! I'm engaged," teased Matías.
As Matías revealed in his introduction, the 26-year-old star hasn't had "many relationships" that he could say were "serious."
"My most significant one was four years long, and that was the very first person that I've ever fallen in love with. I've always wanted to have children and build a family. But my ex wasn't really interested in all that," confessed Matías.
The male cast member opened up about being close to his family, while Brenda shared that she was a single mother with two kids. Matías said that he loved kids and that his ex had kids, and he went along with that. The female cast member found it to be "cute." During their first date, both of them felt "good vibes."
Matías and Brenda had another date on the social experiment's ninth day. They talked about getting married, and she revealed her desire to marry her ex, but she couldn't because he had passed away.
"He lost his battle with cancer. It was tough. It took about two more years to process my grief. They were five hard years," shared Brenda.
Matías was moved by Brenda's story and left speechless after learning how she had a difficult time.
The duo had another date where they talked about their ideal dates and more. As the female star was interested in exploring her connection with Matías, she asked more about where he lived.
"My two kids go to a Montessori school, so it'd be hard for me to move because my children's education is really important to me."
Love is Blind: Argentina cast member revealed that his parents had passed away. Matías also confessed his regret that his parents wouldn't be able to see how he was exploring his connection with Brenda. He revealed that he was in a relationship "up until recently" and after that ended, he grew closer to his friends and family.
On their next date, Brenda asked whether Matías wanted another child. As he said yes, the female cast member admitted that if she were to be "totally in love" then she would also be willing to do that. She asked more about Matías' hometown, which he gladly shared.
"I hope you and I end up together," shared Matías.
The duo envisioned their future together as Brenda confessed,
"When Mati said that he could see a future with me, honestly, that was it for me. I'm sold."
Love is Blind: Argentina episode 3: Matías and Brenda's proposal and first reveal
Matías shared the reason he came to the experiment: to take a chance and find love. He admitted to having found someone who could make him "happy again."
"This whole experience made this guy from Cordoba, who talks all the time and won't stop…It left him speechless!" shared Matías.
While proposing to Brenda, Matías was quite emotional, to which the female cast member said yes, after which she also couldn't stop her tears. The couple shared their first "I love you's" and left their pods in happiness.
Later in the third episode, Matías and Brenda's first face-to-face "reveal" was featured, which made both of them even happier. As she described it, she had found a connection that was "just…wow" and that she was "speechless."
Matías shared that we wanted to feel "more secure", and for that, he "really wanted" to get to know her better. However, he wanted that to be outside the experiment. While the female cast member seemed surprised by this revelation from Matías, she agreed with him.
Despite getting across an unexpected situation, Brenda admitted that she also wanted to get to know him better, which is why she agreed to what Matías had asked.
After their first meeting, Matías felt overwhelmed, while Brenda felt hurt and upset. Even so, she agreed to him and decided to give him another chance.
