Two such participants in Love is Blind: Argentina were Maria Emilia Melo, 41, and Mauricio Zappacosta, 42. After spending time together during their blind dates, they decided to pursue their connection in the social experiment.

After mutually agreeing to get engaged, Maria Emilia and Mauricio advanced on the show with the other couples. They were sent to the next - honeymoon phase. The goal for that phase was to let the couples explore their physical connection with their respective partners.

Netflix describes the engaged couple as,

"Both Mauricio and María Emilia are in their early 40s, both are parents, and both were ready to find their life partner. Their initial meeting is electric."

As featured on Love is Blind: Argentina's fourth episode, the engaged couple Maria Emilia and Mauricio went to the next phase of the experiment. After connecting emotionally, the couples were sent to explore their physical intimacy with their partners.

The couple's honeymoon phase started with the sea, as they enjoyed each other's company on the shoreline.

"I'm really hoping that our physical connection will flourish and become as strong as the emotional connection we've established," confessed Maria.

Love is Blind: Argentina star confessed his doubts about when to get intimate and how long to wait. Their first date was set up at the seaside, where they enjoyed themselves while discussing various things, including their past and how to express themselves.

Maria shared about letting go of her "fears" and inability to "express" herself.

The couple enjoyed a romantic dinner, during which Mauricio asked how she felt about the rose arrangement he had left for her.

"I loved it. It's all very romantic. The candles. Everything," shared Maria.

While enjoying each other's company with the drinks, the duo talked about how they found each other and had a strong connection.

"I'm not saying anything. We'll just go with the flow," teased Mauricio.

The couple then teased each other about where to sleep and how their night might go. The following day, Mauricio confessed to not feeling "connected" with Maria,

"I feel like we haven't connected yet in a physical way. It worries me a little, but we're still getting to know each other. Of course, if it's always like that, it's a problem."

Later that day, Maria and Mauricio met the other engaged couples. Talking to their fellow couples, he revealed how hearing Maria's voice felt "super close" and how it didn't "click" for him.

Mauricio had a separate conversation with fellow engaged couple Santiago and Emily. They discussed physical intimacy, and the male cast member shared that he and Maria hadn't yet gotten to that.

"Yeah, we've had situations where we've been very close, so she's realized that I function. She's not the type I'd normally date," shared Mauricio.

The Love is Blind: Argentina star confessed to having "high expectations" about looks. After he shared about his conversation with Santiago and Emily, Emilia felt,

"Maybe Mauri needs more validation. I noticed he needs that emotionally, and now I see that he needs it physically as well."

He was concerned that Maria did not open up about his looks or attractiveness. He found it "weird."
