Julian was lucky enough to survive the deadly car crash and escape from the sight of QuoVadis. Since she was missing from the car after the accident, it was believed that Julian had died, and the character arc was completed in The Resident.

However, later in the series, Julian makes a surprising appearance when Manish Dayal's Devon (Julian's love interest) sees her for the first time after the accident. Julian showed up at Chastain Park’s morbidity and mortality conference, where she took to the stage and exposed QuoVadis.

Julian confessed to regretting working at QuoVadis, a company that engaged in fraud. She later informed Devon about escaping the accident soon after her car hit the river. Nobody except for Marshall Winthrop (played by Glenn Morshower) knew about Julian's survival after the accident.

Now that Julian had succeeded in her plan, she was offered to work with Marshall but refused. Julian didn't wish to return to her old job and instead shared her idea of starting a non-profit organization with the help of Marshall.

Following her idea, Marshall couldn't resist helping Julian with the NPO, and the two even discovered a shocking truth about the VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) devices sold by QuoVadis. Julian and Marshall learned that the faulty VNS devices killed almost every patient who opted for the implant.

Apart from her professional life, Julian and Devon had feelings for each other, and fans finally got to see them confess their love when Julian returned to Atlanta. However, their long-awaited moment didn't last long, as Julian had to prioritize her non-profit organization and could barely make time for Devon.

Following her decision to continue traveling for her new work, Julian and Devon couldn't continue their relationship. The two decided to pursue their career goals and moved on from each other.

Despite encountering deadly challenges in her journey to expose QuoVadis's corrupt practices, Julian proved her resilience and quest to ensure better health facilities for her patients. Her addition to The Resident highlighted the unethical behavior in medicine and how powerful individuals try hard to keep their crimes a secret.
