Netflix recently aired Love is Blind: Habibi on October 10, 2024. The show features individuals looking for their potential romantic partner in the social experiment. Singles from diverse traditions and regions, including Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and more, participated in the show.
Among many couples formed over the episodes, Love is Blind: Habibi featured Dounia, 24, with Chafic, 27. The duo found each other to be their better halves and, with their mutual agreement, got engaged.

During the eighth episode, there were two days left before the wedding. By that time, Dounia and Chafic went on a "Moroccan" style lunch date, which was planned by the latter.
Netflix describes the Love is Blind: Habibi's eighth episode as,
"The big day is fast approaching. The women became emotional while selecting the perfect fairytale dress, while the men bond over pre-wedding traditions."
Love is Blind: Habibi: Dounia and Chafic's Moroccan-style date before their "big day"
On their special lunch date, Chafic told Dounia how he doesn't usually go for Moroccan food. That was the reason why he wanted to surprise Dounia. He asked Dounia to choose the food that he would taste.
"Today is my last date with Dounia before the wedding. I know that Dounia is very attached to her mother. I thought, I'm going to book a Moroccan restaurant and we'll have lunch together," confessed Chafic.
Seeing their bond grow even stronger as the wedding date approached, Dounia seemed very happy and excited. Additionally, after seeing such a thoughtful gesture from Chafic, the Love is Blind: Habibi star shared,
"At this moment, I'm feeling so positive, positive, positive. I mean, we are closer and stronger, and Chafic and I together, we form a big heart."
The couple then discussed Dounia's outfit, a djellaba, a Moroccan-style dress. She then appreciated Chafic for choosing to have their last meal together as singles in Moroccan style.
The first dish that Dounia ordered was "Harira." She mentioned her mom used to make it during Ramadan. She noted that every day at "Iftar," they have Harira.
In between their various courses of meals, the couple also conversed about multiple things regarding their relationship.
When Chafic mentioned their "difficult moments," Dounia added that all those negative moments were the reason why,
"All the negative moments that we went through brought us closer."
Love is Blind: Habibi star then mentioned that the most important parts of that relationship were "right now." She added that those "beginning" moments she was referring to were the ones they were building right then.
"This is the foundation that will stay with us years later."
Chafic then opened up and shared how he would value her, like his mother and sister. He confessed that if he didn't show appreciation, she might "run away." He added that Dounia was "amazing."
"My feelings got deeper. He's really the best thing that happened to me in this experiment," shared Dounia.
Love is Blind: Habibi star opened up to Chafic and shared how many people in her life made promises but never kept those. She shared about what her mom taught her about keeping a promise.
"My mom taught me that if I make a promise, even if my body gets ripped up, and I shed blood, I must get up and fulfill it. I promise to be with you. I promise to be loyal to you, no matter what happens to respect you."
Her fiance appreciated the promising words from Dounia and told her that she was the best thing God gave him that year and "all his life."
Before their date could end, Dounia got emotional and shared that she was battling her feelings. She confessed about trying to trust Chafic and his feelings towards her.
