She left on good terms with her team, especially with Hondo, who encouraged her to be proud of her legacy. Chris’s goodbye wasn’t just about changing jobs. It was an emotional moment for her and her colleagues, especially for her close relationship with fellow S.W.A.T. officer Jim Street.

Does Chris return in S.W.A.T. season 8?
While there’s no official confirmation that Chris will return in season 8, S.W.A.T. producers haven’t ruled out the possibility. Since Chris wasn’t killed off, her return is possible.
Executive producer Andy Dettman mentioned that it would be "wonderful to bring everybody back," including Chris. So, there’s still hope for fans. Shows like S.W.A.T. often bring back beloved characters for special episodes or major plot twists. So, a surprise return is definitely on the table.
