What happened to Boyd's arms in From season 3?
In the ninth episode of season 3 titled, "Revelations: Chapter One", Boyd was shown to be affected by the worsening symptoms of Parkinson's. Season 1 saw Boyd suffering from involuntary hand tremors which he believed were caused by Parkinson's.
Boyd thought that he shared his father's fate and assumed his symptoms were the onset of Parkinson's since his father began to have tremors when he was around the same age as Boyd.
While Boyd hides his diagnosis from most people including his son, he informs Kenny. He does so to get Kenny to guide the residents of the hellish town when he can't anymore.
While in season two and early season three, Boyd's condition didn't seem to worsen as much but in the latest episode of season 3, Boyd's health seems to be taking a turn for the worse.
In episode 9, when Boyd and his son, Ellis are walking through the woods in search of the pregnant Fatima, Boyd's involuntary hand tremors come back. Boyd also begins to experience a new symptom of Parkison's where his legs freeze rendering him unable to move.
Boyd's leg freezes as a symptom and he is left stuck when he tries to get Ellis out of the woods and back to the Sheriff's station. He had to take Ellis' help to move out of the woods. And as Boyd doesn't divulge information on his worsening health, Ellis is expectedly worried to see his father struggle to walk.
As the show progresses, viewers can expect Boyd's symptoms to become even more intense due to Parkinson's.
