The highly anticipated The Wheel of Time Season 3 is now available on Prime Video, captivating fans with its visit to significant events from The Shadow Rising, the fourth book in Robert Jordan's series. The current season also contains elements from The Dragon Reborn, providing a mix of two celebrated novels.
In Season 3, Rand, Mat, and Egwene travel to the Aiel Waste, while Perrin goes back home to Two Rivers. At the same time, the sinister Forsaken (malevolent characters) keep scheming evil as Lanfear goes up against Moghedien with a massive battle hinted.
Along with the growing threats, The Wheel of Time introduces Dreamwalking, a powerful ability that allows certain people to enter Tel'aran'rhiod, the mysterious World of Dreams. With this ability, chosen people can enter this world intentionally, participate, and even alter its reality.
But Dreamwalking is dangerous since anything that occurs in Tel'aran'rhiod can lead to effects such as injuries and death. Only a few, such as the Aiel Wise Ones and some Aes Sedai, have this special ability.
As seen in the recent episode of The Wheel of Time Season 3, Egwene is learning to control Dreamwalking as she encounters foes like Lanfear. Given the risks, Egwene needs to study everything about this skill and slowly begin the process.

Tel'aran'rhiod: The dream world in The Wheel of Time Season 3 explained
The Wheel of Time Season 3 has sparked fans' curiosity about Dreamwalking, making them eager to understand its mysteries and significance in the story. As previously mentioned, it's a unique ability that takes an individual to the world of dreams or Tel'aran'rhiod.
This world isn't just an ordinary dream space but a parallel dimension where different realities and timelines converge. Unlike typical dreams that fade away in not time, Tel'aran'rhiod always exists alongside the real world.
While most people unknowingly enter this world, true Dreamwalkers like Egwene have the ability to enter whenever they want. They're allowed to stay in control, and uncover secrets about this place.

What are the powers and risks involved in Dreamwalking?

In The Wheel of Time, Dreamwalkers have a variety of abilities within Tel'aran'rhiod. Their abilities are not restricted to consciously entering and traveling in the Dream World, as it also allows them to enter other people's dreams, change their appearance and environment, and even utilize this world to communicate over vast distances.
Yet the greatest risk in Dreamwalking is that it can kill the individual in both worlds. That is why Egwene al'Vere, one of the natural Dreamwalkers, is going through rigorous training to learn how to master the art.
Apart from Egwene, key Dreamwalkers in The Wheel of Time Season 3 include Melaine, who excels in this skill, Perrin, who isn't a natural Dreamwalker but accesses Tel'aran'rhiod through his wolf connection, and Lanfear, who misused Dreamwalking to manipulate Rand.
So, Dreamwalking isn't just a mystical ability but also a key tool in The Wheel of Time Season 3. While Egwene used it to guide Moiraine to Siuan, Lanfear exploits it to trouble her. This way, it becomes both: a gift and a danger for the ones who use it for various reasons.
