What is Danon disease? 90 Day Fiancé star Anny gets emotional opening up about losing baby Adriel 

90 Day Fiancé cast members Anny and Robert will be joining the cast of 90 Day Diaries as they look back on their journey so far. In the newly released clip posted to the TLC's account, viewers saw a short clip of Robert and Anny honouring their baby Adriel, who passed away from Danon disease.

Danon disease affects the heart's ability to pump blood throughout the body as the muscle thickens. Anny explained that this is a genetic disease and for the treatment she and her son stayed in the hospital for five months, sharing that this was a difficult time for her.

"But after a month, they told me he was sick, have a heart, sick heart. He had a sickness called Danon disease. It's a genetic disease. I was in the hospital for five months with my son. We go through a lot."

In the exclusive clip posted to the official 90 Day Fiancé Instagram account on April 8, 2025, Anny got emotional talking about her son's passing. She gave a mini-tour of Adriel's room, stating that it was difficult for her to enter this room as it held many memories. Teary-eyed, Anny continued,

"This is the visiting room. In this room, I have my baby stuff. Adriel's things, everything he used when he was here. It's hard for me to come in his room, more memories."

During her confessional interview in the same clip, the 90 Day Fiancé cast member revealed that her daughter Aaliyah and son Adriel didn't have much of an age difference. While talking about her son, Anny expressed her love and adoration as she highlighted the mother-son bond they had. Anny said:

"I get pregnant with Aaliyah, and then six months after, I get pregnant with my son Adriel. Adriel was a big baby, he was like a prince with beautiful cheeks. He was very close to me."

Opening up about the disease, Anny told the cameras that the doctors informed her about Adriel's condition a month later. They explained that Adriel was suffering from a genetic disease in which the main organ of the body, the heart, is negatively affected.

Back in April 2022, Anny posted about her son's loss on her Instagram account. In her post's caption, she said that Adriel was a "fighter" and that his passing was devastating news for the family. The post mentioned:

"Today is one of the worst days of my life, my son Adriel spring died, I am devastated and my family... life is so hard and difficult. I never thought I would lose my son. He was a fighter... his heart couldn't take it... my heart is broken it's a big pain...so difficult."
