Triple Star from Culinary Class Wars is making waves, and not just because of his cooking. Triple Star, whose real name is Kang Seung-won, was a finalist in Netflix's reality cooking show, Culinary Class Wars.

This South Korean cooking competition divided the chefs into two classes, white spoons (veterans) and black spoons (newcomers) competing for a prize of ₩300 million.

Chef Kang gained popularity from the show mainly because of his excellent cooking skills as well as his looks. However, there are allegations against him from two different women who claim to have been his ex-partners. The allegations are of cheating, ghosting, and death threats.

Triple Star, also known as Scott Kang, owns a restaurant named Trid in Seoul’s Cheongdam-dong. He is known for his innovative dishes on the show, which impressed judges in multiple rounds.

According to reports from Dispatch, a social media outlet, two women have made allegations against the chef.

Kang's ex-wife has made multiple allegations against the star chef. According to her, they met in 2014 when they were both studying at a culinary school in the US. The two dated long-distance and were finally married in 2022.

The couple got separated after three months of marriage but did not go through the whole divorce process because they did not register their marriage.

She also claimed to have helped the Culinary Class Wars star secure a job at a Michelin-star restaurant during his initial years. She had connections to Michelin-starred restaurants like Benu and Atelier Crenn and reportedly gifted Chanel bags to people, which secured him that job.

Kang has denied all the allegations by his ex-wife, claiming that he got the job because of his skills:

''I interned at the restaurant for three months without pay, gained recognition from the head chef and was hired as a full-time employee within a month.''

His ex-wife also claims that Kang would send him long letters, expressing remorse for his past mistakes. This habit continued even after their relationship was over.

She claimed that the Triple Star would get jealous of her boyfriends after their relationship was over and send her texts like, “I want to stab him to death.”

There are also claims about Kang reportedly having an affair with a woman after he returned to Seoul while he was already married.

It seems like Kang's ex-wife is not the only woman who has come forward to accuse him of cheating; his ex-girlfriend was reportedly unaware of his marriage.

She claims that Kang ghosted him for several months:

“I’d heard rumors about his issues with women... I never expected to be one of them. We dated like any normal couple, then one day he ghosted me without any warning. I later found out he was doing double-duty.”
“I hope the truth about his double life eventually comes to light...This is a chance for him to realize how many women he’s hurt and how wrong his actions have been all along.”

While the allegations are quite strong, the Culinary Class Wars star has denied all.
