“We have maintained friendship:” Million Dollar Secret star Chris opens up about his bond with Sydnee

Million Dollar Secret cast member, 34-year-old beverage brand CEO Chris Allen, was one of the contestants who was accused of being the millionaire. Despite having a strong game strategy, Chris was voted out after the majority of the players thought he was lying about his profession.

Chris recently appeared on the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, where co-hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy asked him about his experience on the show. During the April 11, 2025, podcast, he revealed that he and Sydnee Falkner were great friends. After the episodes aired, they both received negative comments on the internet as well, during which they supported one another.

Chris shared that he was closest to Sydnee in the house as they had similar strategies and were competitive contestants in the competition. He cleared the showmance rumours as well by stating:

"I don't know about sparks or butterflies, but it definitely has forced us to reevaluate our relationship. For example, we rely on each other to get through this period of having yourself grilled across the internet. What I want to say is that we have maintained friendship as the core of everything."

As Million Dollar Secret fans already know, Chris and Sydnee established a mutual bond while discussing their strategies together. They also sensed that Chris had a crush on Sydnee, as the viewers wanted to manifest a showmance. During his interview, Chris shared that he and Sydnee have a "special" friendship off-camera as they both continue to remain friends after filming wrapped up.

Looking back, Chris realized that they both had similar personalities and had a strong alliance in the house. According to the Million Dollar Secret star, it was evident to other cast members as well that they had a strong connection within the "mini-alliance." Chris said:

"We definitely have a relationship that is super special. Right, there is no doubt about it. I think it was pretty clear from that second of it. We were very pretty adamant to everybody in the house from the jump that our alliance and friendship which was, it was a mini alliance inside of a bigger alliance."

When the show host asked if watching the show rekindled any spark between them and if it would potentially shift more towards romance in their relationship. Chris emphasized their friendship in response to this question, stating they both had a strong sense of being competitive and aggressive in the game. He continued:

"We are both very similar in a sense that we are like very aggressive, competitive, intense. That was what got me more than anything is like the way that we interacted in the house was glares and stares."

Additionally, Chris also shared that after Million Dollar Secret he was ready to take part in other competition-based shows and was also open to dating shows as well within the Netflix reality TV universe.
