Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is currently filming in New York, as the first season concludes its nine-episode run this Tuesday. While we don't know the storyline for the upcoming season, we do know that The Man Without Fear will be donning a new costume in the second season of Born Again. It will be a black outfit, similar to the one seen in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Other than that, we know Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio will be reprising their respective characters in the second season. Apart from them, Deborah Ann Woll will be returning as Karen Page, Elden Henson is returning as Foggy Nelson despite the character's death, and Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor are new additions to the cast of season 2.

Now, it looks like another actor from Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 might be returning for the upcoming second season, Wilson Bethel's Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye. While not officially confirmed, a fan clicked a selfie with Bethel on the Born Again Season 2 set.

Exploring Wilson Bethel's involvement in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2:

Benjamin Poindexter escaped his incarceration in the eighth episode of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. After that, he attempted to shoot Wilson, but Matt Murdock took the bullet at the end of the episode. With one episode of this season left, it remains to be seen if Bullseye/Benjamin Poindexter will play a role in the finale, or if he escapes the party and that's the last we see of him this season.

If he is not seen in the finale, we may meet the character in the second season of the series, suggesting that he may survive the events of the first season. This has fans excited because Bethel, while not the first actor to play Bullseye in live-action, has been a fan favorite ever since his first appearance in Daredevil Season 3 in 2018.

This is why it was surprising when the character wasn't involved in the original version of Daredevil: Born Again. But Bethel was brought back as Poindexter in the newly revamped show. Bethel spoke about returning as the character in FAN EXPO San Francisco 2024:

"So there's kind of like this funny thing stepping back after five years where Born Again will pick up with that amount of time having transpired. The show doesn't pick up the day after we last saw it. It picks up five years later. And so in theory, these are characters who have all lived five years of life and all of the twists and turns that you take in the meantime. So whether or not even those stories are necessarily on screen, there's just that little extra bit of life in there, which I think is… as an actor, it gives you an opportunity to bring whatever your own journey has been in that time and they get sort of a little longer in the tooth."

However, the actor's revelation of the time jump does not match the showrunner's answer of the time between Daredevil Season 3 and Born Again Season 1.

Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane clarifies the number of years between Daredevil Season 3 and Born Again

As stated before, both Wilson Bethel and the showrunner Dario Scardapane have different answers for the number of years between the third season and Born Again. Scardapane explained the time between Daredevil Season 3 and Daredevil: Born Again in an interview with IGN on March 7, 2025. Scardapane did so when asked whether he was trying to tie Born Again back to the original Netflix show:

"It was absolutely Job 1, the idea being…we were all huge fans of the old show, it set the template. But what we wanted to do is take all of what happened to these characters and push it forward seven years. Everybody’s older and should be wiser, and maybe some people are, maybe they’re not, and we wanted to take the world and keep it moving and go the next step."

Thus, given his position as the showrunner, his explanation might be more reliable.
