Harvey Specter made a brief appearance in Suits: LA Episode 4, Batman Returns, and has been missing in action ever since. Audiences are eagerly awaiting the return of the fan-favorite attorney, especially because his first appearance in the spin-off felt a little lackluster.
Well, the wait is going to end soon, as Harvey is confirmed to appear in Suits: LA Episode 8. NBC has revealed the official synopsis for the episode, which teases the return of the OG attorney from Suits:
“In the past, Ted Black's mob trial case takes a bad turn, forcing him to turn to old friend Harvey Specter; Erica and Leah's clash over personal time gets the attention of the firm's new head of HR; Stuart calls in a favor from Rick to discredit a witness.”
Harvey Specter is confirmed to return in Suits LA Episode 8
Gabriel Macht will reprise his role as Harvey Specter n Suits: LA Episode 8. The episode is titled Acapulco and will air on April 13, 2025. As per the logline, Harvey will once again help Ted with his mob trial case in the 2010 New York timeline.
During his previous appearance, Harvey had helped Ted with information about a mole at his office. However, fans might be a little disappointed, as Harvey will again be seen only in flashback scenes.
For those awaiting the lawyer’s arrival in the present timeline, Suits: LA Episode 9, Bat Signal, might be the one to watch out for. The episode’s title suggests he could finally become part of the main narrative, as Harvey often compares himself to Batman. However, its logline has not been unveiled yet.
Now that Lester’s trial is over, the show might head in a new direction, so Harvey’s reemergence does make sense. It was previously reported that Gabriel Macht will appear in three episodes of the spin-off.
Considering the loglines and titles, Episodes 8 and 9 would feature him, along with the previously released episode 4. The show will then head toward its finale, as the first season comprises only 10 episodes.
Why Harvey Specter is not a regular character in Suits LA
In an interview with Today.com, Gabriel Macht revealed why Harvey Specter does not appear regularly in the spin-off. The actor said he is happy with the way his character arc ended in Suits, and it’s better to say goodbye to a role after playing it for so many years:
“I thought that we definitely stuck the landing, and I think we gave the fans what they wanted, and we wrapped up some storylines. When you play a character for that long, it’s time to say goodbye.”
Further talking about Harvey’s camaraderie with Ted Black during his first appearance in the spin-off, Gabriel said:
“I think the two of them relied on each other for their cerebral machinations of how to get their cases through. I think Harvey was there to show him, ‘All right now, this is the time to just get the job done.’”
Interestingly, Harvey is not the only character from the original series appearing in Suits: LA. Rick Hoffman and David Costabile are also confirmed to reprise their roles as Louis Litt and Daniel Hardman, respectively, in the spin-off series.
Suits LA airs new episodes on NBC on Sundays.
