What happened in Watson Season 1 Episode 4?

In the previous episode, titled Patient Question Mark, Dr. John had to deal with the case of William Betancourt, a well-known lawyer who had accidentally stabbed his tongue with dental floss. His tongue had unusual bumps, which led to a diagnosis of Cowden syndrome, a condition that increased his risk of cancer.

Betancourt agreed to more testing and was revealed to have multiple tumors. Sadly, during surgery, he had a cardiac arrest and did not survive. From the case, Dr. Sasha Lubbock was reminded of a cadaver from medical school with similar tongue bumps. With John's help, she decided to track down the cadaver’s family.

Their search led them to an Amish community, where they identified the man as Jacob Hostetter. His sister, Rachel, now lived in Harrisburg and worried about her son Amos, who also had a mysterious lump on his neck.

On further investigation, the doctors found that unpasteurized camel milk had caused the issue with Amos. He was then treated, after which he recovered. Meanwhile, John's personal life became more complicated.

His estranged wife, Mary, wanted to finalize their divorce, but he missed a meeting due to the case. In the end, he chose not to fight and accepted that his marriage was over.
