In a first for the streaming platform, Apple TV+ will be providing free viewing of all of its content. This comes after several teasers were dropped by Apple TV+ hinting at this exclusive offer. There are no terms and conditions, and you can now watch the exclusive quality content on the streaming platform literally for free on January 4 and January 5, 2025.

They say good things come to those who wait for them. In the case of Apple TV+ this literally turned out to be true. While other streaming platforms have often provided free access to all of their premium content for a limited period of time in the past, this is the first time that Apple TV+ shall be doing so. Previously, the streaming platform used to provide a free seven-day trial for new users; however, one needed to sign up to access this offer.

This time, Apple TV+ has done away with the condition of signing up to enjoy their content, and all you need now to access such popular shows as Severance, Presumed Innocence, and Ted Lasso is a compatible streaming device and a location from where you can access the same. Here's all that we know.

Apple TV+ special weekend offer: details explored

Previously, one needed to pay $9.99 in exchange for a monthly subscription to view the content on Apple TV+. However, as the streaming platform has been teasing across its social media platforms for a while now, confirmation has just arrived that all of the exclusive and premium content on the streaming platform will be made available for free across a forty-eight-hour window through January 4 to January 5, 2025. This means that anyone can now access the sumptuous library containing over two hundred and fifty original television shows, films, and documentaries.

This is being seen as an attempt to boost its audience engagement and significantly increase its subscribers. Launched on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ is the new kid on the block in comparison to the other long-running streaming platforms such as HBO Max and Netflix. In the recent past, the streaming platform has occasionally featured high on the Nielsen rating, with the 2023 run of Ted Lasso contributing quite a lot of ratings.

This two-day free viewing window is strategically placed as it anticipates the release of the much-awaited second season of Severance. Additionally, the second season of Bad Sister is on the horizon, along with the later part of the second season of the science fiction thriller series Silo.

A few other notable impending releases on the streaming platform include the films Fly Me To The Moon and Blitz, in addition to the horror thriller flick Before. It is expected that the free viewing opportunity would get more members of the audience interested in these titles.

Apart from the upcoming releases, there is plenty of quality content to watch, including Ted Lasso, Slow Horses, For All Mankind, and Mythic Quest.

How to access Apple TV+ free viewing?

Viewers can access the streaming platform for free via the app on iPhone, Mac, iPad, and the 4K Streaming box. Apart from this, the app is also available across other platforms and major streaming OSs such as Google TV, Fire OS, Samsung, and LG TV. Although the service will be available through the United States, it is yet unknown if viewers from the UK and Australia will be able to access the same.
