"Wasn't wasting time": Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran recalls honest feelings about her boyfriend and both husbands

Shark Tank investor Barbara Corcoran shared an Instagram reel on March 21, 2025, from when she appeared on a podcast, Chicks in the Office. The podcast episode hosted by Ria and Francesca originally aired on March 10, 2023.

In the video clip, Barbara shared how she had proposed to everyone she had "ever" married. She was referring to her first and second husband and her first boyfriend. Listening to her, the hosts were surprised. When they asked the Shark Tank mentor more about it, Barbara added:

"Oh yeah, I wasn't wasting time, proposed to my first husband, my second husband, and my first boyfriend."

In her recently shared Instagram clip, the Shark Tank mentor Barbara Corcoran revealed that she had proposed to everyone she had married. She stated that it included her two husbands and her first boyfriend. The reason behind that was she didn't want to "waste" any time.

Listening to the Corcoran Group founder, the hosts asked her about her engagement periods and how long she had been "dating." Surprisingly, Barbara mentioned it was about a month of dating before she proposed.

As she faced the question of whether she "knew" right away because she proposed in a month, the Shark Tank judge responded:

"You know what happens? You know who you don't like more. You know this ain't gonna work, right? So when you find somebody good, I would look at them and think, would this be a good husband? And I just corner them."

She shared more about "cornering" her then-future husband and then-boyfriend, asking them their "intentions." Sometimes, when they were shocked to hear such questions from Barbara, she would ask them if they intended to "marry her."

"I give them a day to simmer down. You know, you give them a couple of days, give them a little line, and then you close them again. So what have you decided?" added the Shark Tank mentor.

Seeing how podcast hosts Ria and Francesca couldn't stop laughing, Barbara noted that it might be funny for them, but it was "very successful" for her then. The host referred to Barbara as a "go-getter," to which she agreed.

The female entrepreneur added that she didn't want "some of the chicks" to get to the people she loved.

"Yeah, you know what? I'm gonna let some of the chick get in there and get that guy. I don't think so. Yeah," said Barbara.
