Deal or No Deal Island kicked off its much-anticipated season 2 this week on Jan 07, Tuesday. bringing back the high-stakes drama and strategic gameplay. Hosted by Magic Mike's star, Joe Manganiello, the season began with 14 contestants ready to take up challenges and try and make the best deals of their lives.
Though each contender put forward their best moves, Luke Olejniczak fell short and ended up getting eliminated. The episode began with a team challenge titled "The Bankers Pyramid Scheme. Contenders had to form a group of three and try, and find one side that had the most reward.
Deal or No Deal Island star Olejniczak went for the most difficult path with David Genat and Seychelle Cordero. Even though the team did retrieve the cases, they ended up in elimination. After picking a case from the lot, Olejniczak ended up going home with a case containing the $1 denominator.
Deal or No Deal Island star Luke Olejniczak reveals his game strategy
After he bid adieu to Deal or No Deal Island, he sat for an interview to talk about his experience and the gameplay strategy he entered the show with. He also revealed how he felt when he got to know that his fellow contenders were famous reality stars.
During the conversation, when Olejniczak revealed how he was sure of not playing a scary game, to which the interviewer asked,
"You said that you weren’t gonna play a scared game and you stuck to that. Was that your strategy coming in or was that something you kind of developed as you got there?"
The former contestant of Deal or No Deal Island star revealed that was his strategy before entering the show.
"No, that was absolutely the strategy going in. He continued, "My father stopped me dead in my tracks on my way to get onto the plane. He said, “Don’t play scared. Just have fun. I don’t care what you win.” Once I got on the plane, that was my predetermined destination. I was just gonna have fun, and I wasn’t gonna play scared."
He further reveals how it was his father who made sure he had fun on the show and how he decided to keep that promise.
The interviewer also asked if Olejniczak knew about most of the Deal or No Deal Island cast being well-known reality TV stars.
"I didn’t know anybody’s background. I didn’t even know who the host was. Somebody had to tell me. No, I didn’t know David’s background and I didn’t know Parv’s. I don’t really watch a lot of TV, Amanda, unless it’s college football or the NFL."
Olejniczak opened up about how he had no clue about anybody's profession. He also revealed that he had no idea who Joe Manganiello was.
