Young Sheldon was an instant success upon its release back in 2018. The show hilariously narrated the childhood and early life of the wildly popular TBBT character, theoretical physicist Dr. Sheldon Cooper.
In one of the promotional videos released on the official TBS channel, Young Sheldon stars Iain Armitage, Annie Potts, Raegan Revord, and others revealed their favorite scenes and episodes from the CBS show and the reasons why they meant so much to them.
Here's everything that we know.
Young Sheldon cast's favorite moments revealed
Speaking on the promotional video released on the official TBS YouTube Channel, Iain Armitage revealed that his favorite moment on the show was when he and Meemaw, played by Annie Potts, were playing video games together and were obsessed with Nintendo. Armitage further added that he enjoyed acting like an ordinary child playing with his Meemaw, remarking:
"It was so much fun. It was a really fun episode."
Moving on, Annie Potts herself explained that her most memorable moment on the show came when she first appeared in Young Sheldon season 1 episode 3. She added that the character of Meemaw was quite "lush" at the beginning of the show, after she was brought in after George's first heart attack.
Raegan Revord, who played the character of Missy Cooper on the CBS show, spoke about her favorite scene from the show, which happened to be the one in which she beat up a boy while playing baseball on the field.
Iain Armitage speaks about Young Sheldon
It is fair to say that Iain Armitage practically grew up on the CBS show over the years. Following the conclusion of the show back in 2024, Armitage spoke in an exclusive interview with the Los Angeles Times in which he expressed his thoughts about his and his character's journey on the show. When asked about the seven-season run, Armitage answered:
"It’s funny to think about because, especially with this show, I’ve fallen into such a rhythm with this character. I’ve been doing it for seven years, so it doesn’t really feel that much like a massive acting challenge anymore because, up until three weeks ago, I was doing it every day, for five days. I go through hair and makeup, I slip on those shoes and I’m in character. The more interesting thing, to me at least, will be when I next act. How does that look?"
He was then asked to address the prospect of bidding farewell to the character of Sheldon Cooper, to which he responded:
"Yeah. For so many people on our set, myself included, it was very hard to say goodbye. But I think it would have been hard to say goodbye if it had happened tomorrow or in 10 years. I don’t necessarily think that for me it was this massive letting go where I was so mournful it was happening right now. At the end of the day, as much as I love it, and as fun as it has been, it is a job. And all jobs like this do come to an end. I’m looking forward to what happens next."
