Andor lead Diego Luna grew up with a love for Star Wars. In a previous interview conducted on November 21, 2022, by MySanAntonio, the actor shared that Darth Vader made an indelible mark in his life when he first saw Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope as a kid. The towering height of the Sith Lord impressed Luna and brought him into the world of Star Wars as a young boy. He said,

"I was always fascinated by Darth Vader because he was just scary, he’s the character that sticks with me. “Star Wars was what my cousins would be talking about and playing. So, I just wanted to belong to that universe."

The initial exposure to Star Wars for Luna was more of a question of enjoyment—nay, but it was a way of identifying with his cousins who were incredible fans of the franchise. The star reminisced about how much he desired to be part of their universe and subsequently became close with the Star Wars narratives. His initial infatuation went in a full loop in his subsequent career as an actor.
