Netflix aired Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 7 on February 21, 2025. The fresh batch of episodes featured engaged couples moving forward from the blind dates to the honeymoon phase.
During the vacation, engaged participants learn more about their partners while exploring their physical connection. The seventh episode featured David (Dave) and Lauren opening up to each other about various things.
One of the segments featured the male cast member sharing the reason why he joined the social experiment:
"I hate admitting to that. Like, when I came to the experiment, that was part of it. And I told you that in the pods, I believe. I really wanted to confront myself, and, like, challenge myself...to be, like, a better guy. Like, be a better person. That stuff isn't that important."
Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 7: David and Lauren discuss a lot of things during their first date outside the pods
After settling in the co-living space in Honduras, David and Lauren spent the first night together. The next morning, they were out in a brunch. It was their first face-to-face date together after leaving the pods.
They talked about how their first night together was "good." She joked about David's snoring, which they both laughed about. She called it "gullible." However, he mentioned that he was worried about his snoring.
David recalled when he was in his previous relationship, he couldn't sleep "very well."
"I was too worried about snoring. And feeling bad about it," he said.
Love is Blind star David told her their "transition" of moving together during the current phase was "super easy." She shared about being physically and emotionally attracted to someone and how it takes "so much" for her.
Listening to her, David agreed and mentioned that it was difficult for him to open up "emotionally."
"And I also have been very, like, picky physically. Just kind of how I've been," he shared.
Similar to what he had told Lauren during their pod dates, he had been there to "confront" himself for his past behavior and "challenge" himself to improve.
"Let's say I do meet someone. I'm, like, interested in them. And I know their name, so I look 'em up on their Instagram. Then I'm like, 'Actually, never mind.' You don't even take that next step to go on a date 'cause there's so much information," he shared.
David also mentioned how sometimes people, including himself, "pass on people" because they could be a "really good fit" for them.
However, he referred to that as "so stupid." Agreeing to that, Lauren mentioned that it was stupid, but that's the world where we live.
Love is Blind star David expressed that even though he'd not been engaged, the social experiment has been "so good" for him. They both then agreed that it was "going well."
Listening to David sharing how he felt and how the social experiment had been good for him, Lauren thanked him for being communicative.
