“Want to be as authentic as possible.” Million Dollar Secret cast member Phillip reveals his game plan

Million Dollar Secret, the newly released Netflix competition series, consists of twelve players competing to secure a large amount of money. Additionally, one of the contestants becomes a millionaire after they are given a secret agenda to complete. The goal for the remaining cast members is to hunt down the millionaire and send them home.

In episode 3, 41-year-old college professor Phillip became a millionaire and had to pursue his own agenda. Even though Phillip wanted the money on the last day rather than this early, he wanted the process to complete his goal to be "as authentic as possible." Phillip continued:

"I'm pondering different ways to complete that agenda. I want it to be as authentic as possible. This will make me feel a whole lot better."

Million Dollar Secret episode 3, titled Going to Hell on a Scholarship, was released exclusively on Netflix on March 26, 2025. The episode synopsis reads as follows:

Phillip became a millionaire on the Million Dollar Secret episode 3

In the Million Dollar Secret episode 3, the show host shared that being a millionaire came with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Even though all cast members have to be on the hunt to find who the new millionaire is, Phillip had the advantage to "gain power by completing a secret agenda." What Phillip had to do was cancel out three votes at the elimination.

During his confessional interview, the Million Dollar Secret cast member shared that he would rather have the money on the last day than now, as it was "too early" in the game. He continued:

"My goal ain't to have a million on some random day. The goal is to have the million on the last day, to the last moment because it's too early right now."

Phillip evaluated his game strategy not to draw suspicions toward himself while attempting to complete the agenda. He stated that for this task, he would use his observation skill set to closely observe when it would be the right time to initiate his agenda. Phillip further mentioned:

"The skill set of me being a professor and a therapist is to observe, to listen. So I'm going to be looking out for the opportunity for me to attempt the agenda."

Later in the episode, Sydnee stated that Lauren was a "dangerous player' and that she was smart. As viewers already know, after Lauren revealed that she used to be a millionaire, Sydnee questioned why she was hesitating to share other details as well. Lauren responded that she wanted to keep some information to herself as it was an advantage for her in the game.

Million Dollar Secret cast member reflected on the situation, he said:

"There's been some bickering back and forth. Hey, you all bicker all ya'll want. I'll just sit and watch as long as it makes me a millionaire. Another second, another minute."

Cara felt a "noticeable difference" in Phillip's personality as he closely observed everyone. The upcoming episodes of Million Dollar Secret are set to air exclusively on Netflix on April 2, 2025.
