The Mandalorian is one of the most acclaimed series in the Star Wars franchise, and is set after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. The series focuses on what happens in the more distant, ungoverned parts of the galaxy, with Pedro Pascal's bounty hunter, Din Djarin, as the central figure.
Since Djarin belongs to a group named The Mandalorians, the show kicks off with him taking on different assignments for money. However, things change when a particular job leads him to a mysterious creature — a small, child-like alien with immense power.
Fans affectionately call him Baby Yoda, though the alien's actual name in The Mandalorian is Grogu. Instead of handing Grogu over as ordered, Din decides to protect him. With this, their journey begins and so does the action in the series of the Star Wars franchise.
Pascal has been praised for his role in the show, but filming wasn't easy. Talking about his experience, the actor recalled how he once walked straight into a piece of plywood!
Pedro Pascal said:
"I stepped out of the makeup trailer looking at my sides and walked into a piece of plywood. I have never gone to the hospital for work before."
The wound was serious and he needed medical attention, and ended up with seven stitches across the bridge of his nose. Amusingly, Pascal had to look beaten up in the particular scene with his helmet off, so his real injury actually blended perfectly with his make-up.

Pedro Pascal's real injury was featured in Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian

In The Mandalorian, fan favorite Pedro Pascal plays Din Djarin, or the titular protagonist. Originally portrayed as a man who lives strictly by Mandalorian rules and avoids attachments, Djarin starts changing after meeting Grogu. In one of the episodes of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, Djarin is asked to take off his helmet due to injuries.
On the sets of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, the actor stepped into a piece of plywood, which only helped him show real pain in the finale episode of the season. Creator Jon Favreau joked that when Pascal showed up at the hospital looking the way he did, the medical staff probably didn’t think twice before rushing him in.
The injury, however, ended up working for the scene because Din was supposed to be bloodied and broken anyway. Dave Filoni, one of the executive producers, even joked that it was almost like Pascal went "method," and brought real pain into the scene. Despite the injury, Pascal returned to work right after getting the stitches and his co-stars were pretty impressed with his toughness.
