W.A.G.s to Riches Episode 1 Recap: Sharelle and Stoni face issues while Mjaé opens up about her dating life

Netflix aired W.A.G.s to Riches Season 1 Episode 1 on January 22, 2025. The reality show, as Netflix describes, features a "powerhouse group of women" along with their partners. The series debuted with eight episodes aired on the same day.

The reality show's first episode, "Wives. And. Girlfriends", featured Sharelle and her fiancé Chad Ochocinco at the Golf event. Soon, Alexis and Ashley joined the couple. Porsha and her husband Andre also joined the group.

Stoni went to see Alexis, and she mentioned she was not invited to the golf event. She also shared that she lives in her ex-boyfriend Rick Ross's house and referred to it as a "luxury prison."

W.A.G.s to Riches star Stoni also revealed how her s*x tape was released and got emotional while sharing how she "masks" it all:

"I was collateral damage in a beef I had nothing to do with. And for my ex, I was...In that second, my whole life changed. The minute that tape was released, nothing was the same."

Later on, W.A.G.s to Riches, Alexis, Porsha, and Sharelle went to Ashley's house for "Taco Tuesday." They all enjoyed drinks and food while they discussed Stoni's leaked tape and more.

"I don't care people say that she was on South Beach selling cat out of a 1997 Honda Civic for papayas and well tequila. That's not my ministry. If that is her testimony, that's her business," confessed Porsha.

Further in the first episode, Mjaé met Sharelle, where she opened up about how dating an artist, Kodak Black, has been challenging for her:

"The bad things that come along with dating an artist is all the little girls. They're like flies that won't go away. You just gotta swat them b*tches. They're just annoying. But as long as your man have self-control...Some men do. Some don't."

When Sharelle asked her what she couldn't "put up" with, W.A.G.s to Riches star Mjaé said that she didn't want to put up with "embarrassing s*it" on the internet.

W.A.G.s to Riches Episode 1: Porsha's "Cocktail Hour"

Alexis, Ashley, Sadé, Porsha and her husband Andre, Sharelle, Keeta and her husband Tyreek Hill, and Julz, attended the cocktail while Mjaé was absent. Tyreek FaceTimed Sharelle's fiance Chad, who was absent.

Alexis's ex-husband, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Sadé's fiance, Robbie Chosen, also joined the group.

While everyone was discussing various things, Julz recalled the time when she was fired while working for Kanye West:

"Ye just texted me in a group chat with 18 other people for the first time. I haven't spoken to him since the whole firing thing happened. I don't believe that it was him that posted that I was being fired because there is a guy that worked there, Milo, that was consistently bullying me and tried to slander my name through fan pages and creating fake emails pretending to be me."

After Julz went to the other group members, Ashley and Alexis had a one-on-one conversation about her firing. Stoni joined the group later on. After her arrival, Sharelle shared how she felt around certain people and their reputations.

Later, when Stoni joined the group where they were all discussing making "s*x tapes" and related things, Sharelle told her:

"It's not just the s*x tape. It's the - - When your name is brought up, those are the first two words that come up...S*x tape and escort."

Listening to that, Stoni felt "ganged up." To discuss things further, Stoni requested Sharelle to have a private conversation with her. She agreed to that, and they had a one-on-one conversation at the cocktail.

While Stoni felt Sharelle was "judging" her, she said that it was her "reputation" and not herself judging Stoni. W.A.G.s to Riches star Sharelle then asked Stoni what her "motive" was.

"I don't have a motive. I'm not here to bring friction. I'm here to bring love, peace, and boss-b*tch vibes. That's it," shared Stoni.

After their conversation, Sharelle told Stoni that she would have her "guard up," soon the latter left the cocktail.

The W.A.G.s to Riches Episode 1 ended with Stoni learning about shocking news involving Mjaé's arrest. After watching a clip, she tried calling her, but she couldn't reach her. The first episode ended with a cliffhanger regarding Mjaé.
