Vox Machina is back on Amazon Prime Video with its latest third season, following the seven main characters of the animated show. Based on the famous Critical Role tabletop RPG campaign, the series has received notable commendation from fans for expanding the narrative while staying true to the source material.

The group, known as Vox Machina, hails from the fictional continent of Tal'Dorei in Exandria, which is threatened by formidable magical forces. In response to the growing troubles, the characters, each with their own problems, form a group to save Exandria.

Since each member of the group has their own reason to fight, they continue standing against powerful enemies. As their journey begins, the characters engage in humorous interactions while also exploring their powers.

As seen in the first season, the group helped Sovereign Uriel (a leader) investigate village attacks. This led to Vox Machina confronting formidable foes, including dragons and terrifying creatures. Their quest continues in season 3 as the heroes must take down Cinder King, or Thordak, to save their world.

As mentioned above, the group of misfits is determined to take down the Cinder King, who constantly poses threats to their world. They must face several enemies, including the Chroma Conclave, while also dealing with personal challenges.

While discussing the animated series, executive producer Liam O'Brien told Radio Times:

"There is going to be great cost for every step they take through this chapter of the story in season 3. We are going to break your hearts, we came in looking to break your hearts, so get your hearts ready to be broken."

However, the third installment isn't just about their goal to protect Exandria but will also focus on character growth. Now that Keyleth knows how to control her powers, she is expected to take leadership and help other members. Meanwhile, the sibling duo Vex'ahlia and Vax'ildan will also face some family issues.
