What can audiences expect from Season 6?
Season six is set a few months into the aftermath of season five's events. According to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, season six will take place deep into springtime. Audiences can expect season six to be all about the events that lead up to Mel and Jack's wedding. Smith has stated,
"We're trying to hit all the milestones of the pre-wedding planning, the bachelor and bachelorette parties, the rehearsal dinner. I knew this season needed to be the wedding season. It was time. It felt like a great event to build around, so everybody had as much forethought and time to plan as possible...It felt very Virgin River in its production-the ambition of it, and that we're a small group of people that care about something so much: the fans. So we just busted our humps to get it done."
Smith further added,
"Mel and Jack will advance on their path to parenthood while also turning Lilly's farm into their ultimate dream home."
Is there a seventh season of Virgin River?
For the fans left wondering if season six is the last time they will get to see Mel Monroe, the series has been renewed for a seventh season. Even before the release of season six, in October 2024, it was announced that the romantic drama would return for a seventh season.
