Suzanne, who was married for 27 years and has three children from her late husband Chris, wanted to give a shot at love for one more time.
With the help of a professional dating coach, Logan Ury, the singles are determined to find a partner in their journey where they would go on dates and explore more about each other. Suzanne went on a fate with Fran and then Avery. She found Avery more comforting and found an instant connection.
The 63-year-old Optometrist believes in "big energy, big hair, and brightly colored lips" and gambled her way to find love again. The fans loved her confident demeanor and her optimistic attitude towards things. One fan took to X and commented, appreciating Suzanne's screen presence:

The Later Daters star Suzanne decided to go on a date with Avery in episode 2 of the show. She initially matched with Frank, whom she found open to conversation and more "forthcoming." However, Avery's different personality attracted Suzanne, as he started slow but won over Suzanne's heart with his "genuine" nature.
In a confessional, Suzanne told the cameras:
"He was a little mysterious, which is always charming to me, anyway. Frank was, heart on his sleeve. He was very forthcoming with everything in his life, his past. Avery was a little different. It took him a little bit to kind of open up."
In a later scene, dating coach Logan Ury advises Suzanne to ditch playing hard to get and approach Avery directly rather than following outdated dating advice. The pair swapped phone numbers during episode 3.
The Later Daters fans also expressed excitement for the couple and reacted to their date as "cute."
