Shark Tank season 16, episode 9 saw a pitch from Hayley, who owns Onewith, a swimwear brand for women. The unique selling point of the product is that it doesn't cause "dents" in women's bodies, unlike traditional swimwear, and becomes one with them.

Talking about the origin of her product on Shark Tank, Hayley said that all of this started 5 years ago when she couldn't feel confident in her swimsuit, but the seamless undies didn't cause her the same problem.

Thus, this prompted her to make a swimwear line that would give the same effect as seamless undies. After she had talked about numbers and the profitability of the business while explaining the product, Shark Tank's Kevin chimed in and said:

"Hayley, let me say a very impressive presentation. I usually find something to rip you to pieces on but not here. Not here. You did a great job. I get the product. I get why you can probably build this up. I wish you the best of luck."

Shark Tank entrepreneur Hayley pitched Onewith

Hayley comes from New London, Connecticut, and sought $200,000 for 5% of the company. Her story begins 5 years ago when she was packing for Miami and did not like how any of the swimsuits would fit on her body.

Soon, she realized the fit that she gets from regular seamless undies is what she wants in her swimsuit as well. Talking about her brand, Hayley said:

"Introducing Onewith, swimsuits crafted to fit like the beloved no-show underwear so many women adore and feel more comfortable in than traditional swimsuits."

Also noticing how Kevin and Mark might not understand the difference between the two, Hayley patiently explained the deal about it. Explaining how undies don't "dig" women's bodies, unlike traditional swimwear, Hayley said that they "took that concept and made it swimmable."

Each of the sharks was presented with their own set of Onewiths, and analyzing the product, Lori said:

"So this reminds me a bit of like shaper material and it springs back. It's stretchy but not too stretchy. This one piece, I would imagine, sucks you in. Lumps and bumps and, you know, all that kind of stuff."

Soon, Kevin took over and asked Hayley about the number side of it all. She started by revealing that they have done $2.3 million in sales till now. She had launched the company at the end of 2021. They are selling directly to consumers right now.

Shark Tank investor Mark then clarified the production cost and the selling price of the products. Hayley explained that it costs her $12 to make, and they sell the tops and bottoms for $49 and $47, respectively. She says they have a 75% gross margin on the same. As for the one piece, it costs Hayley $23 to make and she sells them for $89.

Mark and Kevin both appreciated the company and Hayley's pitch saying that they couldn't find anything bad about the product, however, they were out of it. Barbara seemed interested and made a non-negotiable offer of $200,000 for a 20% stake in the company.

Hayley counter-offered with the same amount for 12%, but Barbara denied it. Jamie hopped in and made the same offer as Barbara's. The two then decided they would make a joint offer to Hayley for Onewith $200,000 for 20% divided equally between them.

Hayley accepted the offer after a little nudge from Kevin, and the three women hugged it out. Jokingly, Barbara claimed that she would be the "senior model" for her brand.
