“Very good at reciprocating that:” Love is Blind star Joey praises Monica for having honest communication with him

Love is Blind season 8 couple Monica and Joey connected in the pods through their light-hearted conversations. Soon their strengthened bond led to them meeting each other for the first time and eventually introducing one another to their families. The couple felt they were aligned in various aspects of their life as they opened up about their expectations from marriage and a long-term commitment.

In the newly released episode 12, Monica pointed out how Joey would fulfill the "little things" she wants from their relationship. Joey, on the other hand, talked about Monica being openly communicative about their connection, he said:

"One of my favorite things is our communication. You are very good at reciprocating that and very well-spoken and very intelligent. You're an amazing person, very caring person, empathetic person. I have a lot of love for you."

In Love is Blind season 8 episode 12, Monica and Joey go on their last date together before the wedding day. During her confessional interview, Monica shared her doubts and habit of overthinking things. She stated that Joey didn't mention that he was a hundred percent into taking the next step in their relationship and saying yes at the altar. This worried Monica as she questioned if Joey would back out at the last moment.

Later on their date, Monica opened up about her love languages being words of affirmation and physical touch. She said that the "little things" in their relationship including them expressing their love through physical touch were important to her. The Love is Blind cast member also stated how she was "comparing" her connection with other couples', she explained:

"When we were with the other couples, I saw like they were more lovey and touchy and everything. And I think I could see that and you can see they're really into each other. How do I know that you're into me if I don't... it's like comparing."

Monica shared that Joey had been putting effort actively by expressing his love for her in her love language. She appreciated Joey for how easy it is to communicate and share her feelings with him, the Love is Blind star continued:

"I 150 percent like, saw you try more. Even in just our apartment just hanging out during the day. Totally saw that and appreciated that. Just the little things, that's perfect."

Joey agreed that one of the things that made their connection strong was their communication. He praised Monica for her ability to reciprocate the same efforts he was putting into their relationship.
