ITV's latest true crime thriller, Until I Kill You, had fans captivated by the chilling story of Delia Balmer, a woman who unknowingly got into a love relationship with a serial killer. The four-part true crime series follows the story penned down by Delia Balmer in her memoir Living With a Serial Killer which came out in 2017.

The gripping story revolves around Delia who was working as a hospital nurse in 1991 and crossed paths with a seemingly charming man named John Sweeney in a pub and soon entered into a relationship with him.

As seen in Until I Kill You, Delia's life soon took a dark turn when John Sweeny couldn't hold on to his fake persona and initiated attacks on her girlfriend. Startingly he had a history of violence and even killed his former girlfriend before meeting Delia Balmer.

Actress Anna Maxwell Martin and Shaun Evans took on the leading roles of Delia and John and are receiving positive feedback from viewers. Following the gripping story, many are curious about the filming locations of the ITV true crime show. The show is filmed in locations like London, Swansea, and Amsterdam.

Filming locations of ITV's Until I Kill You explored

Though set in London, Until I Kill You was majorly filmed in Swansea, Wales, in the UK due to its high resemblance with London in the 1990s. In a statement to ITV, executive producer Simon Heath explained why the city was chosen as the main location to shoot the true crime series. He said:

"The whole series is shot around Swansea. Partly this was a cost decision, but partly it’s based on the fact that north London (where Delia’s story took place) no longer resembles the North London of the 1990s, which I knew very well."

Heath explained that cost wasn't the only reason why they chose Swansea. The architecture in the city perfectly matched how London looked back in the 1990s when real-life events took place. There was also a brief one-day shoot in Amsterdam to capture the exterior shots of the buildings. It's the place where John killed his ex-girlfriend and threw her dead body in a canal.
