Earlier this year on February 11 when Tracker made its way to our screens, it did not take much time to become one of CBS’s most talked-about shows.

The series is said to have brought a refreshing take on the procedural drama format. With Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, the plot follows a survivalist, who is particularly skilled at tracking down missing people for reward money.

The 13 episodes of Season 1 proved to be just what the fans needed, as the wait for Season 2 is at fever pitch.

That said, the new season promises to deliver better plotlines and bigger twists. There will be more episodes in Tracker Season 2, which means an extended story with a deeper look into the lead character’s life and activities. Here’s everything you need to know about the release date, plot, and cast of Tracker Season 2.

With 6 more episodes than Season 1, Tracker Season 2 will arrive on October 13, 2024, and will air weekly. It was just after the success of the first few episodes of Season 1 that CBS greenlit Tracker Season 2.

Fans who enjoyed the first season’s mix of action and mystery can watch the new episodes of Season 2 every Sunday on CBS, or stream through Paramount+.

In Tracker Season 2, we will see the nomadic survivalist dig deeper into his life while he deals with the problems of the outside world.

Ending with a cliffhanger, Season 1 provided an interesting premise for Tracker Season 2. Lizzie had found a box that was related to Colter’s father’s work. In Season 2, we will learn more about this discovery.

Tracker Season 2 might be set months away from Season 1. It will explore Colter's relationship with his estranged older brother, Russell Shaw, played by The Boys’ Jensen Ackles. The new episodes might cast a light on more personal themes and touch upon Colter’s troubled past. This could lead to the story revealing more about his family dynamics and the things that shaped him into the man he is.
