The fan-favorite Colter Shaw continues to crack cases on Tracker Season 2 and in the latest episode, an old case resurfaces. The CBS drama introduced viewers to Justin Hartley as a highly-skilled survivalist and expert tracker named Colter Shaw who solves cases about missing people but prefers working alone.
While Shaw is a lone wolf by nature, he isn't completely alone. Since he takes on complex cases, Shaw requires help from his support network which works behind the scenes. The TV show follows new cases new each episode, and the latest was about the disappearance of Gina Pickett.
While it features Shaw reworking the case, it also introduces viewers to retired Det. Keaton explained to him about a potential lead he got from the Navy SEAL database. Being a retired detective, Keaton had access to the data and was able to help Colter during his quest.
As seen in Tracker Season 2, Pickett was a young woman who vanished without a trace and it was hard for Shaw to track down this case. At one point, even Gina's sister lost hope, thinking she might never see her again.
The case remained cold until retired detective Keaton stepped into the picture and shared his insights about the disappearance. In Tracker Season 2 Episode 9 "The Discipline", we see Colter Shaw joining forces with a retired detective to solve a case.

Tracker Season 2 Episode 9 recap: Colter Shaw reopens a cold old case

For years, Colter Shaw has been trying to solve the disappearance of Gina Pickett. All of his leads have gone cold until retired detective Keaton arrives and the two rework the case. Soon, the investigation begins in Tracker Season 2 Episode 9, and we see that Keaton has doubts about Frank Whales' story and explains the same to Colter.
Whales were once a man with an unhealthy obsession with Gina, and Keaton believes he's hiding crucial information about the woman. Since the man didn't share much, Keaton and Shaw had to use aggressive integration and it's revealed that Whales wasn't acting alone.
A shocking truth emerges: Gina has been taken by a manipulative predator known as "The Teacher" who involves young men in trapping his victims. Whales then revealed that after manipulating Gina and lying about having music connections, he delivered her to The Teacher.

A deadly showdown Tracker Season 2 Episode 9

Now that Colter has reached the abandoned asylum where The Teacher is currently working, he handcuffs Whales to the car but he manages to escape. Not to commit a crime but to help, Whales also steps into the place and attacks his mentor, Brandon to save Colter.
As the showdown continues, it's revealed that The Teacher's real name is Noah Darview, the son-in-law of Patrick Campbell, the owner of the barn where Whales took Gina. The culprit has been recruiting men to target women and commit crimes.
In a shocking turn of events, Darview kills Whales for the betrayal and even tries to end his life. However, Colter Shaw ensures he's alive until justice is served. Colter prevents Darview from dying and gets him arrested.
As for Hannah, the men rescue her alive, solving her disappearance case. But what about Gina? Turns out she couldn't make it out alive as The Teacher tortured her after Gina revealed that her sister Camille was the most important person to her.
