Colter soon realizes that a man pretending to be a U.S. Marshal is actually Connie’s dangerous ex-husband, Kirk Garner. Colter manages to save Connie's kids and stop Kirk from harming the family. The story then takes a turn as Colter himself goes missing.

He was tracking a man named Scott, who was obsessed with UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena). Colter’s brother, Russell, helps him escape from a strange government facility. Together, they find that Scott’s obsession might be real after they face some shady government agents.

Colter then teams up with his rival, Billie, to look for a missing high school pitcher, Eric Dobbs. They find out that a biohacking group is using young blood donors to try to stay young. Eric gets caught up in the dangerous situation, and Colter takes it upon himself to save him.
