Tracker will be back this Sunday with another pulse-beating case that increases the emotional and personal risks for Colter Shaw (Played by Justin Hartley).
In Season 2, Episode 19, titled “Rules of the Game,” the reward-seeker takes on a hazardous new mission with his buddy and attorney, Reenie.
As the duo tries to trace a missing assistant, mysteries are untied, and a fatal feud threatens to shred them apart. This episode isn’t just another mission — it’s personal, and for Tracker, this shifts everything.
Colter and Reenie face their most dangerous case yet on Tracker
In Tracker Season 2, Episode 19, things get severe when Colter is taken on by Leo Sharf — a client of Reenie’s — to locate his disappeared assistant before an essential company launch. The official synopsis reads:
“When Reenie’s client, Leo Sharf (recurring guest star Pej Vahdat), hires Colter to track down his missing assistant before his company launch, the case takes a personal turn and Reenie becomes entangled in a deadly vendetta threatening both of their lives.”
From the very first second, the Tracker duo is thrown into a stressful situation. A poignant ransom video presents the assistant to be all bloodied, with the word “GREED” scribbled in the area of her neck, along with a desperate plea:
“If you do not follow these rules. I will die.”
The risk factor is clearly far more than just being corporate; something deeper and more ominous is unfolding.
Colter feels it, too. He tells Reenie,
“This is more than just a corporate kidnapping…”
And from then on, it gets personal pretty fast — Reenie herself is soon abducted too, forcing Colter into a quick race into getting to do things right.
For fans of Tracker, this is the kind of expressively charged, being on-edge-of-your-seat episode that the show will soon be delivering.
Dory Shaw’s return and the shadow of the past
While Colter is planning on how to save Reenie, another obstacle appears out of nowhere — the arrival of his sister, Dory Shaw.
Dory’s comeback isn’t accidental; her being there is most likely linked to the bigger mystery behind their family’s ordeal and the wary death of their father, Ashton Shaw.
Colter, Dory, and Russell Shaw grew up in a home built on fear, mysteries, and survivalist beliefs. Their father's fascinations cracked their family and left marks that still cause hurt.
With Dory now being back, those old scars are ripped open again. Series creator Justin Hartley says,
“We’ll figure out a lot more, and [Colter will] get more leads. But sometimes when you get more leads...that’s more interesting.”
As Colter moves closer to the truth about his father, he’s required to come face to face with some hard realizations. Hartley explains,
“As he is growing older, he’s realizing, ‘Oh, snap. Maybe my dad wasn’t so crazy. Maybe he was onto something…’”
That change in perception could change everything for Colter — not just how he viewed his father, but how he now views himself.
With the finale approaching, Episode 19 seems to be setting the groundwork for revelations about the Shaw family and the intensely buried secrets that still outline Colter’s world.
Dory’s return feels less like a get-together and more like a warning.
Tracker Season 2, Episode 19, “Rules of the Game,” is gearing up to be one of the most crucial entries in the series yet. Between Reenie’s life hovering in the balance and Dory’s comeback opening up older wounds, Colter faces a blizzard of danger in this upcoming episode.
With the season finale just around the corner, the game is no longer about just tracking — it’s about surviving, truth, and facing up to the ghosts that just won’t stay buried. Don’t miss this Sunday’s episode on CBS.
