What We Do in the Shadows is all set to reach its final destination after a six-year-long journey. The popular FX series, which is currently in its sixth and final season, will air its season-slash-series finale on December 16, 2024.

The sixth season has so far seemed to be giving the perfect conclusion to the comedy horror series by resolving storylines like Guillermo’s dream of becoming a vampire and Nandor’s developing feelings for The Guide.

Meanwhile, there is still a lot left to be told. As the audience gears up to watch the What We Do in the Shadows season 6 finale, here are five things expected to be seen in the episode that will give a satisfying ending to the storyline.

5 possible plot points in What We Do in the Shadows Season 6 finale

1) The Baron’s plan to take over the world

Since the early seasons, The Baron has had a dream of ruling the world. He now seems to be more serious than ever about his dream. After Jerry tries to provoke him during the Eternal Lifetime Achievement Award and ends up dying in season 6 episode 9, The Baron is all the more determined to prove himself.

In the series finale, he might try to lead the vampires into taking over humanity. This could lead to comedic chaos as the Staten Island crew would have to choose sides and decide whether they want to help him, stop him, or mess things up in their signature way. This plot could set up the final conflict in the series.

2) Laszlo’s fate could hang in the balance

Hints about Laszlo’s possible death have been seen in the recent episodes of What We Do in the Shadows. His decision to create Cravensworth’s Monster to protect Nadja even if he is gone, shows that he is afraid about his future.

Laszlo talks about how fragile life is, along with his secretive behavior, suggesting he might be in serious trouble in the season finale. His fate could become one of the season’s most emotional moments as he could sacrifice himself for Nadja or face an unexpected twist.

3) Cravensworth’s Monster's real purpose

Cravensworth’s Monster has been unpredictable all through the season, leaving fans wondering about its real purpose. Laszlo created it to protect Nadja, but it has already proven to be dangerous, especially when it killed Jerry.

In the finale, the monster could play an important role, either by turning against the Staten Island vampire crew or becoming an unlikely ally in a fight. How Nadja and Laszlo deal with its unexpected nature could be a significant plot point in the season finale.

4) Nandor and Guillermo’s Relationship

The bond between Nandor and Guillermo in What We Do in the Shadows has been in the spotlight for many years. Guillermo has feelings for Nandor but has never acted upon them.

The sixth season dives deep into their complicated relationship, especially when Guillermo becomes a vampire without informing Nandor. Their moments together hint at emotions they have never fully addressed to each other.

What We Do in the Shadows season 6 finale could finally conclude their ‘will-they-won’t-they’ storyline, maybe with a romantic confession or a decision to stay friends.

5) A final showdown

As tension builds between the group and the larger vampire world, the finale might show them uniting against outside threats. Whether it is dealing with the Baron’s plans, the fallout from Jerry’s death, or some other trouble, the group will likely come together for one last wild adventure.

Since this is the last episode, the show might end with a nostalgic and heartfelt farewell. There could be callbacks to earlier seasons, surprise appearances from past characters, or moments that showcase how far the main characters have come.

What We Do in the Shadows season 6 finale will air on FX on December 16, 2024.
