Running for 11 seasons, from 2009 to 2020 Modern Family has made its place in the list of best American sitcoms. Following three families who are all related to each other, the show portrays their everyday shenanigans as all of them struggle with changes and their lives.

The best part about Modern Family for many of its fans, was its dialogue and humor and how almost every character was funny. The humor element made sure that the show was entertaining throughout.

Moreover, despite being a comedy, Modern Family dealt with some pretty serious family issues as well, like kids growing up and making their own life choices that might not sit well with their parents, complicated family dynamics as a result of making unconventional decisions, etc.

Following the Rose family, who were ultra-rich before they went bankrupt, Schitt's Creek depicts their journey as they are forced to come and live in a boring and small town called Schitt's Creek, which happens to be the only one of their properties that have remained.

With the sudden change of status and living style, the Rose family finds it jarring to get used to their new environment. With razor-sharp humor and well-written characters, Schitt's Creek does not have a single boring moment as either one of the four members of the family is always up to something.

Young Sheldon

When talking about sitcoms that focus on families like Modern Family, it is difficult to not mention Young Sheldon. Serving as a prequel to The Big Bang Theory (TBBT), this show follows Sheldon Cooper in his childhood as he grows up to become the adult that viewers meet in TBBT.

Young Sheldon also focuses on Sheldon's family, including his parents, siblings, and his grandmother. Like Modern Family, this show is also filled with hilarious and somewhat unconventional characters. The humorous dialogues serve as icing on the cake.
